I am 15. I have a curfew which is around 11:45 and 12:00. Can anyone give me some excuses to convince my parents to let me stay out later? ( no sleepovers)

People who have the same age as me are allowed to party till 3 am. I just want some excuses to do that too.

For 15 years old, you have pretty lenient parents to have a curfew of 11.45 to 12.00. If I were you, I'd just be happy with what you've been given and not try and push your luck.

Remember that your parents were your age long, long ago when dinosaurs walked the earth (jk). But they WERE your age back in the 70's or 80's. They know exactly what kids are doing after midnight. The primary job of parents is to raise functional adults. They have to look out for your long-term best interests and not worry about your short-term happiness.

The reason your parents won't let you stay out later is because the DON'T want you out partying. So you aren't going to be able to convince them that a later curfew is in your best interest, because it actually isn't.

Be happy with what you have. My 16 year old had a midnight curfew on weekends/during the summer. The first time she broke it, she was with some friends and got into a bad situation and ended up getting picked up by the cops. Now her curfew is 10:30. That was how she had to learn that nothing good happens after midnight - and that her parents were actually right (oh, the horror!)

You're not going to want to hear this....what possible reason could a 15 yo have for needing to stay out later than midnight that doesn't involve getting in trouble? My daughter is 16.5 and her curfew on non school nights is 11:00pm so I think your parents are being very lenient and over-reasonable

The kids that are staying out that late, are going to have to be in trouble, and probably end up in jail, if not worse. Evidently their parents don't care what they do. Your family does care and wants the best for you. As you get older and learn to accept there are rules for reasons, you will be come a better adult. If you have to lie, then it must be wrong. You are not missing anything except some heartache.

You should be gratefull that you are allowed to stay out as late as you are!!! In the community I live in curfew for anyone under the age of 18 is 10pm. If you are out past 10pm (unless going home from work) and are without your parents you can be arrested for curfew. You'll have plenty of time to stay out after 12am when you are 18 and on your own....so suck it up and get over it. Curfews are for your protection...and nothing that goes on at any party anywhere after midnight is going to be good for you!!

well, uh thats waaayyy better then my parents, my curfew 11:00 (although i am 13)
Maybe you need to convince you parents using true logic, they probably set yours at midnight because they care. You've got a resricted right? midnight is when the drunks come out. Maybe they'd let you go if you were with a HUUUUGGE group of friends
Try talking to them. even though parents suck, they have feelings and empathy too

that curfew is very reasonable.. sure you may say that you are mature as about any other teen that is older but that's besides the point, you're still 15.

just accept that curfew..

if not, earn your way to a later one..

"Nothing good happens after midnight" but in reality what is happening before midnight is happening after midnight. My friends and I can start partying later and be drunk after midnight or we could also start at like 10am and the same thing will happen but earlier in the day. Just be honest with your parents about what you want to be doing and talk to them about how responsible you are. or else just sneak out. Sleepovers are pretty much the only lie you could tell but then you would actual have to stay at your friends house or stay out partying all night. or just come home when you want to and start your teenage rebellion phase.

that's a really good curfew, ur lucky when i was 15 i wasn't allowed out nearly as late. You should be great full they gave you that. I wouldnt be lying to your parents when they have been very good to you to give you that, my advice is to do the right thing and be home by that time since they obviously trust you a lot dont abuse it!.
