I used to work for TVP and I remember quite distinctly an Officer leaving the job to move to Germany with his wife where he had an offer of employment from the Polizei. I don't know the ins-and-outs of it all but I know that he was fluent in German so that definitely aided his application. Have you checked out the websites for the various Australian forces, New Zealand Police and Royal Canadian Mounted Police? They are all actively targetting and recruiting British Peelers because they know the job is going to shite in the UK but the training you get in Britain is second to none.

Whoever wants to be a police in Spain should pass a test or tests. And besides your test have to be one of the better. I mean if a thousand people do this test but there is only job for twenty persons, your test should be one of this twenty test which are better than others.
I'm Spaniard

That shouldnt take a lot of deduction really should it?
I would say a police officer speaking fluent Spanish and English would be very welcome, but an English speaking only Scottish police officer would be of no use at all !!

You have a right of employment under EU law but it would mean starting training again and speaking fluent Spanish also the pay is far lower than in UK.

I am sure they hire qualified police officers from other countries. Check their website or call them and get the requirements... Good luck from a retired police officer...
