Last night i was at the movies with some family. When we came out, we were leaving when this white suv, didnt recognize make or model, just backed up so fast and hit my front left bumper and broke my headlights and my car got dented. I think they were drunk because they just started laughing, we could her them, but as soon as they hit us, they went straight and fled. We couldnt reach them in time, but my car got a bad hit.

what can i do now? i wasnt able to get the name, number, license plate number, make, or model. just that it was a white suv with the metal things on the car lights.

thanks.

You can try contacting the police department of the area to see if they will still make out a H&R report for you. I also suggest contacting the movie theater to see if they have security cameras in that area.
Your last resort is to pick up a "self-report accident form" available at any police department or the DMV. You fill out the report to the best of your knowledge and mail it to the state.
In the future, contact the police department before you leave the scene.

That sucks! My car was hit 3 times the first year I got it. I wasn't around when it happened so there wasn't anything I could do. This also happened to my moms car back in 94', she reported it but the cops said she'd be better off just paying for the damage herself rather than deal with her insurance company. Maybe you could call the theater and see if they have video surveillance for the parking lot. Then maybe the cops could get a license plate or something but don't count on it.

1st file a police report if you have not done so;

2nd; call the movie theater and see if they have any videos;

3rd; depending on what state you live in, even if you have uninsured property damage, it may not cover since you cannot ID the auto/driver etc; some policies require that you ID so that the insurance company can pursue the at fault driver and/or his insurance company;

4th; if uninsured coverage not available, then if you have collision coverage, it will pay minus your deductible;

good luck

As others have said, there isn't much you can do without information. Uninsured motorist covers those driving without insurance, and your insurance may balk because you don't know the people who hit you didn't have insurance. It will be covered under collision, minus your deductible if you have that coverage. Otherwise...pay for getting it fixed out of pocket.

Not much you can do. You need to get at least the license plate number or a good description of the vehicle and its occupants for the police to be able to help you.

i had the same thing happen to me at a popeye's joint and i found out that you should still file a police report and if you have uninsured motorist insurance it will cover the damage minus the deductable.

Depending on the state you live in, it should be covered under your Uninsured motorist clause of your insurance

Report it to the police.

There's nothing you can do but repair your car at your expenses/insurance.
