My humble opinion is that Roger Goodell gets his tough as nails charcterization for the way he handles incidents off the field. Bill Bellicheck gets caught CHEATING, violationg the very purity of the gamehe governs and The Disciplinarian" gives him a slap on the wrist. Based on his interest I think Roger Goodell would best serve the public as an Attorney General and let someone else be the NFL's commissioner.

If you got hit on the wrist with a $750,000 fine and loss of a first round draft pick, your wrist, hand and arm would get separated from your body.

In a pre-season game, this year, a Steeler lineman got fined for tackling the opposing quarterback!
In the first game of the season, Hines ward of the Steelers got fined for blocking a defensive back while a running back was running with the ball!

I think the commissioner has gone overboard with his on the field fines...with just one team.
