If you're eating the same quantity, calories, nothing will change.

You'll just be er.. apparently 'healthier', just as fat though.

Yes, you will lose weight and even get healthier too but exercise is just as important when wanting to lose weight and looking your best.
Eating right is very important but that doesn't mean that you can't eat 'SOME" junk food once in a great while. Getting healthy is the most important thing each of us needs to do and do it right too.

Depends. Losing weight and being healthy requires several components.

1. Appropriate nutrients, so your body can generate the energy you need, process the foods you eat, etc.
This is one place where the healthy foods will help you a lot.

2. Appropriate exercise - if you want to lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you eat. This is one place where healthy foods help in the sense of giving you better access to the energy you need, but without this component, you would continue to gain weight.

So eat right, exercise on a regular basis, and get plenty of sleep, so your body can repair itself after a day of exercise and eating right.

There are other components - for instance, don't eat late in the evening - if you eat, then sit around and then go to bed, no exercise occurs, so the energy you've fed your body gets stored up as ... fat.

Absolutely! Your body has been getting more calories than it needs, when you switch to healthy foods your calorie intake will go down and you'll probably lose weight.

The whole formula of weight loss is so simple - you need to use up more calories than you take in to lose weight. You can use up more calories by exercising, having more muscle (which burns more calories) etc. You can consume less calories by eating low calorie foods, or just eating small amounts of bad foods. But you'll feel MUCH better if you take the healthy option!

Cutting out sugary sodas is a quick way to decrease your calorie intake too.

It depends on what junk and how much you ate. I saw a programme where a woman was very skinny and lived on junk- the quick-releasing sugars were just used up, and she never got a chance to convert it to fat. She as very unhealthy though. She actually gained weight eating 'properly' but her general health improved.

I would say in 9/10 cases you'd lose weight, but not always!

Junk food contain lots of fat which makes up part of your body weight. So by simply switching food, you are reducing the amount of fat intake, so you won't get any fatter. But for the fat already in your body, you need to do something about that, don't you? If you are average size and very active person, simply switching the food is generally good enough. If you want to loose weight very fast and you are not very active person then "regular excercise" will help to get rid of fats that are already in your body. Hope that make sense.

Weight loss does not correspond with so called healthy foods. Oils, sugars and carbohydrates all form part of a healthy diet.

What makes them healthy is the choices we make about which forms we will take them in. So multigrain organic bread will be better than the pre packaged white stuff.
A good olive oil will be better for you than hydrogenated fat etc....etc...

Weight loss always requires exercise whatever you eat.
