If you are interested in joining or just learning more about the Catholic Church, contact any parish and ask about information about their RCIA Inquiry group.

You can go and ask any questions you want.

This is the first step in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) but you can stop at any time.

There is no obligation to become a Catholic.

With love and prayers in Christ.

Catholic priests are called by God, and while many men feel drawn to the priesthood, not all are selected to serve.

It would also help if you had some idea what the Catholic church teaches and practices, before you choose the Catholic priesthood as a vocation.

Call the pastor of your nearest Catholic church on the telephone, and discuss the matter with him.

Then see where God leads you.

Your first step would be to talk to your local parish priest about becoming a Catholic. And then start going to Mass regularly. Your local priest will probably set you up to take classes of instruction in the Catholic faith. You then will be Confirmed.

There's a lot more to becoming a priest - concentrate on becoming a good faithful Catholic first, then go talk to your parish priest about becoming a priest - there's a shortage of priests, so don't be discouraged if it sounds like he might be trying to dissuade you from being one - they just want to make sure that this is really what you are being called to do.

Take care and God Bless.....

you need to be baptized in the Catholic Church but before that you must learn all about the catechism of the Catholic Church. it may take you a year or more to study that. to become a priest you must become a seminarian first and study theology.
