Why do guys like girls with attitude and a smart mouth?

It is like they relish this and have fun with this. Why do they like girls who can give them a rise?

Men kid with each other. Have you ever noticed how guys tend to have nicknames for their buddies? Ever notice how guys kid each other at work? I think that one reason may be because to a guy, an approach like that from a female is easier to handle when they are communicating on a level of acquaintance or first date..... bar scene....... etc. They don't have to work as hard to impress. They are in their arena. Sounds lazy doesn't it? To be honest, however, I honestly feel that on an intimate level, when a relationship becomes serious, such an approach from a female would become probably old rather quick. Its ok on first date etc but I will bet you anything that when things get serious a guy will start to take that kind of front from a female as offensive. The reason being is that guys do not normally get too emotional or deep with their feelings with other guys (unless they have had too much to drink). Men (and statistics show this) talk about their feelings with women way more than men. This being said once the realtionship becomes intimate I would bet my next paycheck that a guy would become rather tired of the "attitude and smart mouth" and want someone who takes him seriously in a respectful way. I understand that most females will say that men on average do not know how to communicate (stats will show that females seek other females over males on average to discuss emotional issues). Believe it or not guys are honestly trying.

Because we are most likely to be honest and up front. But I can tell you from personal experience it's not a recipe for long lasting relationships unless done right. After a while it gets old, just have to know when that is. But if you're funny you can get away with a lot more.

Because it's how guys treat eachother. We don't have to act a different way or bite our tongue because we know she'll be able to dish it right back.

When guys are around women it's a bit like a kid in a fine china shop. They can't throw baseballs around, they can't run, they have to be careful with everything. It's a restrictive feeling because you're acting differently than you normally would.

When a girl engages in good-natured banter with us, or teases us, that's fantastic because we don't have to watch ourselves as much. It's more relaxed, more enjoyable. Even when they burn us good it's still great. It makes her feel more like someone we can relate to.

I don't think that is "always" the case.
I think it is more found in the type of person who has lived a hard life themselves, & do not take any guff off of anyone.
If they see this type of attitude in the female also, well then they just feel more comfortable with them & can relate & open up to them alot more easily. If the female is more quiet & reserved & "proper", well then this type of attitude & smart mouth talking might not go over too well.
Guys tend to get rather "raunchy" in their talk when they are in a group together & they don't seem to care who they offend or who is listening.
But get one of those same guys alone all by himself, & he will be a totally different person all together (quiet, sweet, reserved).
Women can be the same way.
BUT, women are not as cruel & insensitive to the others feelings when out in public, they are ALWAYS the more mature of OUR species.... by far. Even when drunk, they try to handle themselves with such grace & poise, even to cover themselves or their mouths when about to blow chunks.

Ill give you my input on this.

I have dated many types of women. Some cute. Some cute when I was drunk. Some black. Some white. Some thin. Some thick.

I had always thought I wanted a girl that would do everything I wanted or liked all the things I liked. I thought that I would have less problems that way which would lead to a happier relationship with less drama.

This is what I found out. I found out that it was alot of fun to date girls this nice for the first month or so. But then it changes. You ask her,"what do you want to eat for dinner?" she replies,"I dont care, Whatever you want to eat."

Or I ask," whate movie do you want to watch?"
She replies,"I dont care, whichever movie you want to watch."

You quickly find out that these women or like echoes. your are better off dating yourself because its less expensive.

Now im HAPPILY married to a firery redhead! I love it!
We have our battles but at the end we are closer than ever before. I think our relationship is very strong and I am thankfull I have that crazy girl!

I don't find that attractive but at the same time a strong women who knows who she is and what she wants is very sexy, kinda like when a girl says she wants a guy who is confident but not cocky.

it's more about sexual chemistry , men seem to programmed to enjoy a challenge, not all men but most.
When they see a woman who could handle them it's intriguing but, sarcasm, and witty comments only take a woman so far, she must be kind, virtuous, and total hoe in the bedroom. I speak from exp. i work with men all day, men who just tell me all their sexual perversions and what their looking for and everything else.

Guys like a challenge . . . they want to win the girl over. If the girl worships them from the start, the chase is over before it's begun.
