The pain is very dull and annoying and at times can really hurt. Also in the past 1 or 2 days the pain has moved to my lower left side oo, although it is not constant. Just last night I was doubled up after a sudden severe pain in my lower left side. This only lasted about 40 seconds.

* 3 bloody stools in bout 2 and a half weeks.
* Pain when emptying bowels ( Lower right side)
* I only empty bowels pretty much every 4 days - there is no strain when doing this and it comes easily apart from the lower right side pain - NOT constipated

Tessa: I think you posted this question before.Actually 6X. I feel so bad for you -that up to now, you don't know what's wrong with you. Fear of the unknown can be so exasperating.

The possible causes for your pains: and bloody stools. are: gallbladder stones, crohn's disease as pains are on the right side. Pains on the left side would be ulcerative colitis, Diverticulosis, or diverticulitis; hiatal hernia. Other causes are UTI ( urinary tract infection); kidney infection, and PID ( pelvic Inflammatory Dsease) and digestive disorders such as ; IBS( irritable bowel syndrome) and GERD.and gas.and indigestion. Because the symptoms of pain come after eating; it could also be chronic pancreatitis. or fatty liver.

If the bloody stools are melena or dk red; it would indicate upper GI tract problems as digestion has occurred. If it's bright red, it 's from the lower GI tract. It might be due to bleeding hemorrhoids . However, hemorrhoids don't cause sharp abdominal pains.

I'm sure it's not colon polyps as you are too young. But the colonoscopy should rule that out.

Blood in the stool (Hematochezia) - the passage of red, or maroon- colored stools. Red or "frank" blood in the stool could be caused by hemorrhoids. Bloody stools can also be seen in amebiasis, anal fissures, or colorectal cancer. Bright red bleeding with bowel movements may be due to hemorrhoids; however, other conditions such as colonic polyps or tumors, diverticulosis, and abnormal small vessels called AVMs also may cause bleeding. Frequent diarrhea can also cause bleeding due to irritation of the intestinal lining.

On occasions; the bleeding is coming from the upper intestine or stomach. Bleeding is usually is evaluated by colonoscopy. Blood, as seen in the stool, can originate anywhere along the intestinal tract. A black stool usually means that the blood is coming from the upper part of the GI tract. At least 6 Tablespoons (or 200 milliliters) of blood must have been lost in order to cause passage of melena.

Maroon-colored stools or bright red blood usually suggest that the blood is coming from large bowel or rectum. However, sometimes can be caused by massive upper GI tract bleeding. Some upper GI causes of bloody stools can also cause vomiting blood such as in peptic ulcer disease. The color of the stool can suggest the location of the bleeding however this is not reliable. A definitive diagnosis will require radiographic and/or endoscopic investigation.

Black color –
- bleeding ulcer
- gastritis
- esophageal varices
- a tear in the esophagus from violent vomiting

Maroon color –
- all the causes of black color stool
- diverticular bleeding
- vascular malformation
- intestinal infection (such as bacterial enterocolitis)
- inflammatory bowel disease
- tumor
- colon polyps or colon cancer

Bright red color -
- all the causes of black or maroon color stool
- hemorrhoids
- anal fissures ("cracks") in the anal area

Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins in the anal canal. They can be itchy, bleeding and/or painful protrusions just under the skin. To get rid of hemorrhoids you can use this natural method that already have thousands of positive reviews https://tr.im/5LKDY
There are two types internal and external. Internal are inside the anal canal in the lower rectum and external are at the anus. They result from increased pressure in the veins often due to straining during bowel movements and during pregnancy. Scratching in an attempt to relieve the itching symptoms further weakens the area and compounds the problem.
