I'll be working in the state of Georgia, near Atlanta, if that matters at all.

I don't know about the Pharmacy Student's answer.
I was interested in studying Pharm Tech when I got laid-off in April and the starting wage is in the $9-10/hr range in PA...is the economy *that* much different in GA?

I wonder if Pharmacy Student isn't thinking about a bona fide Pharmacist's internship wage and not a Pharmacy Technician?

I work near Pittsburgh, PA & I make a little over $11 an hour. But I work in retail pharmacy. I could make a lot more if I worked in a hospital pharmacy. Check out http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Pharmacy_Technician/Salary for the national averages. Good luck!
