I am now going home after completing my assignment in the foreign country.

I need to sent my desktop back home by courier.

May I know how do I pack my desktop into the mail? What do I put into the box containing the PC to protect the PC from rough handling? Can someone please advice? Where do I also get those material to protect my PC?

What do I need to put into the box to soften the impact on the PC from all the rough handling?

If you have the factory box, pack the PC in that. Add any additional cushioning in that box so that there is a minimum of 2" of cushion between the PC and the box on all sides. More is better. Then locate another box large enough that the factory box fits inside with at least 2" of clearance all around. FIll the void with more cushion until the factory box does not shift at all. Unless you double-box, any insurance claim for damage to the PC would likely be denied due to insufficient packaging.

It would be a good idea to place a note inside each box with your name and contact info. That way if the box is damaged, the PC can still eventually find you.

Normally you should the strength box suitable for the weight and the distance and put the styrofoam around your labtop protect the cash cusion. Write the word "handle with care" or "fragile" around the box to notice the transporter to move with care. It is enough to send your pc to home.

Line a box wth bubble wrap. put your desktop itno it, and then cram it with bubble wrap, seal it really well. Think if it is something really fragile, you should contact UPS, as they specialise in bulky packages
