Does it ever make you mad when you are driving down the road in your cop car, and everyone goes the speed limit simple because you are there. Do you ever wish they would just speed up a little?

The other day I was driving down the highway. There where about 6 or 7 cars just stuck in one area. It was bumper to bumper and it was driving me crazy. I didn't understand why everyone was driving so close when there was an open road ahead of them. Then I saw a cop exit the highway. After that traffic picked up and went back to its normal way. I just think it would suck to be a cop and have people always right next to you and in front of you and behind you at all times.

Often having car's slow down in front of me when they see me in the rear view mirror is annoying just because you have to go around them, But I have had a few times on the freeway have car's go past me doing 5 over no big deal to me I usually wont stop someone until there over 10. I have more important calls to reaspond to then writing speeding tickets.

The typical officer (whether City, county or State Agency) that sees traffic slow down because he or she is there usually likes the fact that people respond in a positive way.

This is the basis of marked cars. Marked cars advertise the presence of the law in your neighborhood.

The ones that irritated me were the ones that would sit in the fast lane and freeze up on me (not know what to do). This is with lights and siren going.

People need to know that officers (here in CA) CANNOT pass you on the right side when they have lights and sirens going.

As a general rule, check your rear view mirros often....if you see red and blue lights behind you and you see that it is safe to do so....move over and let them through!

No, that is not the problem. I hate it when the cars in front of me go 3-4 mph under the posted limit.

I know a state trooper who clearly feels the intimidative presence he has on the open roads when he's on duty.

It's not really a irksome issue; they just hit their lights and people get out of the way.

I don't care because most of the time I am on my way to a call. If I have to stepit up a bit then I move them out of the way with my lights and sirens.

No. That's what they're supposed to do, all the time.
