What is the "holy calling"?

To beleive on him whom G-d has sent, and walk pure before him.
To beleive on him whom G-d has sent, is to beleive in "Savior the messiah" him G-d sent as a gift so that those who walk in darkness [which is analogus to ignorance, sin, depression, torment, fear and all negativity] in order to come to the light of the good news.
Which is the life death and ressurection of the King the word of G-d.
The law is reffered to as the light source, as it is written: Your law is a lamp to my feet.
There is alot to be written about this short text but I will just advise everyone to read the bible.

Holy Calling is basically where God calls a person to leave their exisiting way of life, and begin to live a holy life in Jesus name, serving Him and spreading His Word unto others. God can call a person to serve Him in many ways. It may be in the ministry, as a pastor, or as a missionary in certain countries, or it may be as simple as spreading God's word through a smile or by an action that is loving towards someone else. Overall, every child of God has the responsibility to spread the truth of God around weather it be through words, or through action.

To live a "holy life" (NIV version). In the previous verse we are told not to be ashamed to testify about our Lord...this is the holy calling.
Some might argue that this means we are all called to talk about our faith with others, but I don't see it that way. The way I see it, the term "testify" means to demonstrate it through our lives (get the darn beam out of your own eye before you try to talk to your brother about the speck in his eye)! That we should not be ashamed to live a holy life so that others can see the power of our Lord in our lives.
I don't believe God calls people to speak to others about him until they have learned to listen for themselves...the message is so much more effective when people see something they want in your life and ask you how you got it!!

God, the author of it is holy; it is a call to holiness, and the means of it are holy; and in it persons have principles of grace and holiness implanted in them; and are influenced to live holy lives and speak with holy conversations.
Holy = Separate.
Therefore, it is a call of God to separate you from the world, and bring you into His household.

being a christian, living the life of one. 2 tim 1:7 for God did not give us the spirit of fear, but the spirit of power, love and self control.
