Jesus is the Jewish Messiah but he was not the "Prophet like unto Moses" who was to come from the "brethren of the Jews".
The Holy Ghost is not someone who has not come… according to bible he has always been around.
Therefore who is the Comforter or “That Prophet” who John said he was not when asked (JOHN 1:19-21) ?
Moses replied : "And the Lord said onto me, they have well spoken that which they have spoken, I will raise them up a Prophet from among ‘their brethren’, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." (Deuteronomy 18:17-18)
The Bible refers to the Ismaelites (Arabs) as the Brethren of the Israelites :
(Gen 16:12) ....and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
(Gen 25:18) And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that [is] before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: [and] he died in the presence of all his brethren.
In this verse God specifically says from “their brethren” meaning that this a significant change to the usual lineage of the Prophets. The Final Prophet would com from the “brethren” of the Israelites which means the Ishmaelites in Arabia. This is why many Jewish tribes moved to Arabia to await the Final Prophet. The Quran were verses literally put in the mouth of the Prophet in the new tongue (Arabic) which was then memorized and repeatedly recited by all the companions.
-------------
Jesus said someone will be sent after him -- he will leave so the Final Prophet or “Comforter” can come with a final law that would JUDGE and establish legal commands of God to follow.
"But now I go my way to Him that sent me and none of you asketh me, 'Wither goest thou?' But because I have said these things unto you sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, for if I go not away, the [Last Prophet/Comforter] will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and approve righteousness and judgement" ----- John 16:5-8
To approve righteousness and Judgement means a new LAW would be sent through the Last Prophet.
Obviously Jesus is not talking about the “Holy Spirit” being the comforter/Prophet because the Holy Spirit has already come as once as a dove and many times before that.
The Holy Spirit has already come many times --- (Luke 1:15,Luke 1:41,Luke 1:67,Luke 2:25-26) and it is a divine “favor” or understanding….. not an actual person or Prophet.
And I will pray to the Lord, and he shall give you another [Prophet/Comforter/Spirit of Truth], that [his example] may abide with you for ever. (John 14:16-17)
As a mercy unto mankind God has promised to send down and protect a final complete message(Holy book) and code of life (human example) before sealing the Prophethood.
The Sunnah (example of the Prophet) is kept alive by every Muslim copying the life of the Prophet Mohammed.
---------------------
"But the Comforter[Prophet/Comforter/Spirit of Truth], whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your “remembrance”, whatsoever I have said unto you."—John 14:26.
The true message of Jesus, Moses and the Last Prophet is kept alive forever through the memorization and daily recitation of the Quran.
"I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth , is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear that shall he speak- ----- John 16:12-14 -
This shows that the disciples were not given a full code of life nor a full message of absolute truth. Rather they were given glad tidings that a final Prophet would come who would teach them all the truth which would not only confirm what was said before but would tell of much more to come.
Holy Quran 5:48 To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the truth of whatever there still remains of earlier revelations, determining what is true therein, and guarding it in safety:
-------------------------
This Final Prophet will come as Isaiah predicted ………. From the land of Kedar (Arabia) and from the branch of Jesse (Ishmael)
“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out his roots. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge, and of the fear of the Lord.”--- Isaiah 11:1-2
The Quran calls the Angel of Revelation (Angel Gabriel) the Ruhool Qudoos “Holy Spirit” who is sent down to “strengthen” the Prophets.
According to Encyclopedia Biblica, we read: “Jesse is contracted from Ishmael”. (Cheyene , Encyclopedia Biblica under “names”)
--------------------
Isaiah tells of the Prophecies of a “Servant of God” who will come from the land of Kedar with a divine Law and he will be victorious over his enemies in battles.
He will bring a new law and message in a new tongue(language) and the villages of Kedar will sing the praises from the mountain tops.....
“Sing unto the Lord a new song , and his praise from the end of the earth…” (V.10)
“another tongue” (Isaiah 28:11)
Let the desert and its towns lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits; let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the tops of the mountains. 12 Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare his praise in the coastlands. --- (Isaiah 42:11).
Ishmael dwelt in the wilderness of “Paran”(Gen.21:21) He beget twelve sons one of whom was named “Kedar”. (Gen.25:13)
------------------
******** The reason Muslims use the bible to prove several points is because it is mentioned in the Quran that Allah sent down glad tidings of the Last Prophet to come in the Torah and Injeel (bible).
HOLY QURAN - 007.157 "Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the Torah and the Injeel (Gospel);- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper."

9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them." 10 Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the end of the earth! Let the sea roar and all that fills it, the coastlands and their inhabitants. 11 Let the desert and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits; let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the top of the mountains. 12 Let them give glory to the LORD, and declare his praise in the coastlands.
but what about Sela ?
it is also mentioned here and for some reason you totally ignored it.
according to your way of thinking, if this verse means that there will be a prophet from Kedar, then there is supposed to be a prophet also from Sela ?!?!?! right ?
where is that prophet ?!?!?!?
and to give you some information about Sela:
Sela =Selah, rock, the capital of Edom, situated in the great valley extending from the Dead Sea to the Red Sea (Kg2 14:7). It was near Mount Hor, close by the desert of Zin. It is called "the rock" (Jdg 1:36). When Amaziah took it he called it Joktheel (q.v.) It is mentioned by the prophets (Isa 16:1; Oba 1:3) as doomed to destruction. It appears in later history and in the Vulgate Version under the name of Petra. "The caravans from all ages, from the interior of Arabia and from the Gulf of Persia, from Hadramaut on the ocean, and even from Sabea or Yemen, appear to have pointed to Petra as a common centre; and from Petra the tide seems again to have branched out in every direction, to Egypt, Palestine, and Syria, through Arsinoe, Gaza, Tyre, Jerusalem, and Damascus, and by other routes, terminating at the Mediterranean." (See EDOM [2].)
i didn't hear about a prophet from Petra. did you ?
i didn't know that Edom had a prophet !?!?!
if the "new song" was the qoran as you said because it is the only book that was written as a poem and is being recited, then where is the book of Edom ? this verse says let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy . does that mean that they also have a "song" that they recite ?
that also means that unlike what you said, the qoran isn't the only book that was written and recited as poetry ?
all of this simply mean that your way of explaining this verse is totally wrong my friend
peace and love

Romans were not mentioned in Isaiah 42 thus they cannot be relate to preaching to gentiles.
The meaning of the verse Isaiah 42:10-12 clearly say it will be the inhabitants of Arabia that will travel to far end of earth to proclaim His praise. Not Romans that spread Pauline-Christianity as can be seen today. And indeed inhabitants of Arabia have been travelling to spread New Song since 7th century till today spreading the message that is Islam. Muslims proclaim His praise everyday.

Ok, I have read every letter here in Ur "Statement" (Can't find a Question in it) but I'll presume Ur trying to make some sort of "Pro Muslim, Rah, Rah, We're the Only True Religion" point to someone??? Sorry, but I think that by Now, Everyone is Rather Sick of Ur & Other Muslims Feeble Attempts to Justify Ur MURDEROUS, FANATIC, TWISTED RELIGION!!! U see, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN UR EMPTY WORDS!!! And Ur people even KILL their Own Kind!!! So why don't U just go & take some "Suicide Bomber Lessons" from the Local Mosque and then report back here with Ur "Virgins" as to who the "TRUE & LIVING GOD IS"!!! OBTW, Jesus Christ Died for Ur Sins so that U too could go to Heaven if U just Accept Him!!! That's the "Gospel" & the "Good News" just so U can't say no one ever told U!!! John

nice try, yes real nice. So allow me! You read Heb 1:1-12, Acts chp 2, Rev 10:7 & Rev 22:13. See, Jesus CLOSED the book! Let your final read be Gal 1: 6-10. NO arguing, just comparisons MY choice is YHWH & Yeshua. EX 3:13-15 settled the NAME, for me too. So can we live in peace? Oh yes I've never found your prophet in my Bible, can you SHOW me.....please. Wait! the Comforter is the HOLY SPIRIT, the Spirit of truth is HE, Read Jn 14:6 please. Look I printed this out, your statement so I can studty it closer.

"Moses replied : "And the Lord said onto me, they have well spoken that which they have spoken, I will raise them up a Prophet from among ‘their brethren’, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." (Deuteronomy 18:17-18)"
If "their brethren" is referring to the Ishmaelites and not the Jewish people, then according to your logic, the Jewish kings were not allowed to be Jewish since it also uses the phrase "your brethren".
Also, this passage in Deuteronomy is not referring to a specific prophet at all.
Also, any of your quotes from the Christian Bible are meaningless if you are dealing with Judaism.

9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them
10 Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you coastland and you inhabitants of them!
11 Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory to the LORD, and declare His praise in the coastlands.
13 The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies.
14 "I have held My peace a long time, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once.
15 I will lay waste the mountains and hills, and dry up all their vegetation; I will make the rivers coastlands, and I will dry up the pools.
16 I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.
17 They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, who trust in carved images, who say to the molded images, 'You are our gods'.
(Bible: Isaiah, 42: 9-17)
Here Sela mean, 'Rock' in Hebrew language and it is name of a mountain in Madinnah. And sentence "Let the inhabitants of Sela sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains" is very true to real history. When Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon upon) entered first time as a refugee from Makkah to Madinnah the girls were singing the song "Full moon have arisen over us from the the valleys of Thaniat AlWada'a" and strangely Thaniat AlWada'a is in Sela mountain range. And before Sela it is written "Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits" and we know Kedar was son of Ishmael (Peace be upon him) and all his sons were inhabitant of wilderness of Arab. So it is clear that this Sela in Madinah.
And it is mentioned about His fighting (Jehad) with idol worshippers. And he really fought with idol worshipper and extinguished this evil from Arab for ever. And the word 'shout from top of the mountains' is giving clear indication about Hajj season when people calls aloud from peaks 'Oh God we are present'. And idol worshippers were ashamed on occasion of the conquest of Makkah but the Last Apostle of Allah proclaimed a general amnesty and forgave all enemies who did not fight.

Many words do not make truth. Mohammed is no prophet, and Jesus is the son of God who died on a cross, rose again, and is the only name under heaven by which anyone might be saved.
