Yes, but it is going to be sweet. There is a lot of sugar in most pasta sauces. I saw an idea to cook a pasta sauce for 2 hours. Please don't try this. with all that sugar your sauce will become bitter. If you ever have a tomato sauce go bitter do not use sugar, all you will get is a sweet, bitter sauce. The best cure is shredded carrot. It really is the cure.

the sign of a good cook is to improvise in recipies. By all means use a pasta sauce.I think it will taste great.
