Is there a way to clean the underside of the glass in a scanner?

I just looked real close and noticed that theres a real slight amount of dust there. --wouldnt that fog up scans a little bit?

If you had to look "real close" to see the dust, don't try to clean it,.because It wouldn't make any noticeable difference. I tried it once and spent 3 hours putting the beast back together.
