They might lose water weight and muscle, but not fat. Also, they'd gain it back, and more, and it would be harder to lose the second time. Better to do a mix of diet, cardio and weight lifting, and skip the pills. Lose at a rate of two pounds a week, no more, in order to have a chance to keep it off.

yes, they would lose weight fast. but the problem with this is if the person stopped dieting or popping pills, then the weight would come back in a flash. this is because the body slows down your metabolism in order to cope up with the lack of nutrition. on the other hand exercise speeds up metabolism so i really recommend exercising as well in order to maintain a healthy weight.
