Yes of course!
At the clinic each dog has already be labled by the Vet.
They work it the same way with people.

Yes, I do.. if it's reputable, I don't see why the company wouldn't do so. There are, after all, employees who work there who can't all be part of a big conspiracy, right? I have the same idea, if my dog passes away in a way that I can do so (i.e. she doesn't run away, et.c).. I'd like to get her cremated, and then scatter her ashes in her favorite place, but keep a TEENY bit with me in one of those pet lockets/key chains make specially for that. That way, she'll always be with me, both literally and at heart. Good luck..

If you asked to get the cremains back then yes you do get your own pet back. The cremation was done as a private cremation of only your pet..no one elses.

Well,my vet and her husband do the cremations right at their office, they have a crematorium in the back,so yes,I 'm sure I get my animals back. She also puts the animals name and the owners name on the body bag until the cremation is done, and puts the names on the tin as soon as the ashes are put in.

I just hope so. I've had 2 dogs and 2 cats all cremated and i hope i have them all in my China cabinet and not someones else's beloved pet. I had 2 different crematories handle each one dog and one cat. The more expensive one made a clay paw print of my cat and dog and presented them to me when they delivered the ashes to me. So i hope they are honest people that cremated all my beloved animals.

I had "Private" cremation and got her ashes back in a Box. I know she is still there with us too. The "common" cremation could be a mixed Breed.

Yes, you do get your pet back and a little bit of someone else's too. If you have ever been in a crematorium and seen how things are done you would understand. They scrape the ashes out but there is always some left. My husband who has passed, used to work for a burial company so I've seen how things work first hand.

If you ask for the ashes back they will tag your dog and keep it separated from the other dogs, because when they cremate they hold your dog until they have enough animals to fill the oven.

if you ask specifically for the ashes returned to you, then yes, you get your animal back (unless the people you took your animal to are real creepazoids). We have had four of our pets cremated, and we got very different sized tins for each animal, since all of them were different sizes.

That is a good question. It is hard to say. I know what you are saying. After all of the horror stories, it does make a person wonder.
The best thing to remember, is you will always have your pet in spirit.
