I'm not on here all the time, as I get bored and will go back to knitting or something else instead of sitting at the computer all the time.
I'm sorry, but it's kind of a slow night, and if it's this slow now, what goes on during the longest 3 1/2 months of the year?
You can't talk about Junior and the 88 all winter, or can you?
Maybe you'll all just be talking about what a great champion Tony Stewart is...=)

We only got 3 months between seasons. People will whine or gloat about last year, and talk smack about next year.

As far as Tony Stewart goes - GO SMOKE GO!

Well the "season" may come to an end, but if you're into racing at all, you know that it never stops. They may not be on the track every weekend during the "off-season", but they're still busy, still making things happen day in and day out, all year long. Racing isn't a seasonal thing for some of us.

Already planning a party to celebrate Smoke's championship again this year!!!! Everybody's invited!!!

Since the death of Dale Earnhardt in 2001, NASCAR has managed to stay in the news year round. There is always something to talk about. Yes, we will celebrate Smoke's third championship, we will talk about new NASCAR related books, we will talk about collectables we have, or are available, or how to trade collectables. There will be new rules to talk about, the future of drivers and teams to discuss, and, if nothing else, how many days, hours, and minutes untill the new season begins. Thank God we have a short off season!

As some of the others have mentioned, we do have other hobbies and interests too. That doesn't mean that we forget about Nascar for the 3+ months though. But, we keep up on current news and developments for the upcoming year.

Please, knit yourself a gag or blindfold. Your sarcasm or maybe it's just lack of knowledge in NASCAR is so annoying. If you pick up a magazine and do a thing called reading or watch the television programs about racing you can keep up with what goes on with sponsorship, drivers and their families, maybe somebody got engaged or married, had a baby, etc....

When you are truly interested in one sport it does not mean that you do not pay attention to others. NASCAR fans watch football and baseball too. We have some pretty kicka$s teams to keep up with as far as the Red Sox and the Patriots go and when people like you make it sound like racing fans do nothing but talk or watch racing it makes you sound so stupid.

This will be uncharted water for me. I guess I'll go back to football in time for the playoffs and Stupor Bowl.

Thank God it's a short off-season before its boogity boogity time again.

I personally watch the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl. It's the time between the Super Bowl and Daytona that is a drag.
