No surgical fix that I have heard of. You should sign up for the Phase III trial for pagoclone, which has given many stutterers some hope and relief. It is a drug being studied by Indevus. Go to this page http://www.indevus.com/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=45 and there is a "click here" down a ways so you can fill out a form to be considered for the trial. They need 1000 people for phase III. Also, check out the site for The Stuttering Foundation of America at www.stutteringhelp.org as that is where our family found the best information, referrals, books (Self Therapy for the Stutterer), and more.

There is no surgical fix for stuttering, as it's not a physical problem. Same reason why people don't have surgery to fix their depression. If you're already 20 years old and have lived your whole life with stuttering, I'm surprised you haven't researched anything about it yet.. I'd recommend using the search engines to your advantage.

there has been major advances in a new breathing technique, saw a great programme about it a few years back about a guy from the UK that had, had a 100% success rate.

try a search and see what it comes up with with regard to breathing techniques and stutterng

not that I know of...there are no quick fixes or cures...stuttering has several causes including genetics - something about the amount of dopamine in the brain....if you have a myspace account join this group http://groups.myspace.com/stutteringfoundation...if not, set one up and then join.
