well i watch this kid mon wed & fri,20 total hrs for $50 a week. my low price is my catch u kno like it's how i get more attention. so they r the reason i issued a 48 hr notice policy. if u couldn't come i got 48 hrs notice then no charge 4 the day, otherwise it was still reg price. @ first i didn't think i would need such a policy but i got tired of the 3 days n a row being called @ 950 when they were supposed 2 have her here between 930-10. well last week they couldn't pay me cuz the dad hadn't got paid yet so i let it go & they paid me the next wed. so this week they can't pay again & asked 2 hold off till next fri. normally np but my hubbie got a lousy check so we need it. i feel bad cuz they're n the same boat my fam is in the cash area but i also kno they aren't helpin me but i'm tryin 2 help them. so do i tell them i can't watch her till they pay me? & should i talk 2 them & tell them 2 find some1 new on an hourly basis so they don't waste my or some1 elses time & their $$?

Yeah. I would tell them to start paying you prior to your babysitting. It is a bad habit. Next, they may begin to try getting two or three weeks behind because they will see their getting away with it. Anyways, if they do not agree to pay you in advance then I would tell them you can not afford the time.

I would say they must pay in advance. Whether the child comes or not. You can work out how you want to handle vacation time or if you are unable to watch the child due to your own illness or emergency. They are getting a great deal at 50.00 a week and should jump at the offer. You should get paid whether the kid is there or not to hold his spot. And raise your prices!

use the same rules as the local day care centers, they are staright forward and simple. no call, you pay.....no pay no stay. you did the job, now they need to pay you ON TIME
