actually yes. It has to be in your checked luggage, not carry on, and MAY have to be tagged, but not necessarily.

Don't plan on having them arrive at your destination. The baggage handlers are the biggest crooks in the US and they steal stuff with impunity and the airlines will blow you off for replacement costs.

you can NOT take the air supply for them. Even though airlines transport explosive canisters on board (in cargo) YOU can not have the air canister in your luggage.

For a better idea go the the website for the airline you plan to fly on and they have the FAA and the airline guidelines.

If you want your stuff to arrive, in good order, FEDEX them. They ship guns, drugs, illegal drugs, etc. If it will fit in the truck they'll ship it, and it's pretty reasonable. (Interestingly enough, it will go by plane, maybe even the one YOUR on!!!!)

You can legally take Paintball Guns on Commercial Domestic+ flights if they are in your checked in baggage, but under no circumstances can they be transported in your carry on luggage. Some airlines require prior authorization. Call the airlines well in advance to find out their policy and restrictions. NOTE*Gas Cylinders cannot be transported legally... full or empty and are subject to confiscation. Any attempt to conceal these tanks is a criminal offense since 9/11.

You can carry an unloaded handgun in checked baggage, so you can carry a paintball gun, which is not a firearm. Firearms have to be in locked cases and the TSA won't interfere with them, but then they have to be checked before they are locked too. You may have trouble with the tanks though, airlines are funny about compressed gasses.

One question, two answers...

Actually, one and a half :

yes- you can transport a paintball gun on a plane...just follow all of the rules that regular firearms are governed by.

Travel to Mexico with it?

I don't think so, but I do not have any experience with their rules in this area. Regular firearms are almost impossible to take into the country.

Best people to get a answer is the airline your utilizing. Myself, I only have a question about your tank. Most likely they wouldn't want a pressurized gas or anything inboard.

You can NOT take on the co2 tanks when they are pressurized. you can only carry them UNpressurized below the cabin. your paintball gun must also be checked into your checked in luggage, they can NOT be taken aboard with you as carry on. if you can, put them in seperate bags and also let the attendant know when you check in that you have them in your luggage because they will be searched by the TSA randomly and you don't want to get pulled off your flight for that.

hope this helps :o)

Not unless you want to wind up in Guantanamo Bay Prison...

Seriously though, call the airline. You may be able to put them in checked baggage, but I doubt they'll allow gas or tanks.
Your best bet is to UPS them to where you're going and pick them up when you arrive.

it relies upon what variety of paintball you play. For woodsball you like something like a tippmann a-5 with a flatline barrel or a tippmann ninety 8 custom. For speedball you like probably the spyder vs3

Prohibited from carry on. But you can put it in checked baggage. Remember that the gas cartridges are not allowed at all.
