How close to your bedtime do you eat, and how much do you eat?
If you go to bed with a full stomach, and you lay down, it can put a lot of pressure on the valve that holds the food down, making you feel like "puking". Also the build up of stomach acid - which is designed to help digest that food - can burn the osophagus, also making you feel ill. Sleeping with the head end of the bed elevated may help control symptoms.
Also when we sleep the digestive process slows right down, and food that's high in the digestive system will just sit there fermenting.
So if you can, leave about 3 hours before bedtime without food, to give your body time to clear the stomach. The heavier (fatter, richer) the food the longer it takes.
That should help, but if it doesn't you may have to go to the doctor to rule out a hiatus hernia, where the stomach pushes up against the diaphram, and sometimes through it, causing similar symptoms.

Not real sure, could be any one of a number of things that could induce nausea. Anxiety can induce nausea as well as depression or for that matter extreme elation, but such is a rarity. It could also be pathological, meaning you may be coming down with some kind of illness maybe some kind of influenza. It could also be something you ate. If it persists (continues for 3 or 4 days) it may be wise to check in with a physician. Hope I've helped. God bless and get well soon!

You should go to see a "trusted doctor" and get some serious professional help from him/her. The doctor may run "tests" and determine the underlying concern and help "cure" your current illness. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.

This may depend on the time between your meal and when you go to sleep.
But if in doubt,
Check with your local doctor as it may be an underlying problem.

My best guess would be gas or heartburn. I have the same problem and it's usually one of the two.
