My family and I had a conversation about it and no one could come up with the right answer. Can anyone help me with the answer or with the right place to look up the info?

I forget what it is, Josh Beckett said it was some gross amalgam with yogurt and a few other things it it... and that it tasted gross. But I don't remember what he said it was.

I remember hearing that they used a thick milkshake mixture and then painted it on the actor's faces...
Here it is:
The Coveted Milk Mustache Recipe
Following is the recipe to prepare the milk mustache mixture for the photo booth:

Vanilla ice cream
- Put ice cream in the fridge (not freezer) the night before the shoot and let it melt down overnight; pour into a jug

Whole milk
Combine 2 cups of ice cream and 1 cup milk in a blender slowly until you get the desired consistency. Each batch can be different. It’s a trial-and-error endeavor. Try whipping up a batch or two before the event to get the feel for the perfect mustache mixture. It should be the consistency of melted ice cream.

Tip: Whipped topping or yogurt also works well and can be added to the mixture for more thickness.

Tip: In our experience, the whiter in color the ice cream, the better consistency you’ll get.
