Depends on the tone of the color and the context. Mainly yellow is the color of sunshine. It's associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy.
Dull (dingy) yellow represents caution, decay, sickness, and jealousy.
Light yellow is associated with intellect, freshness, and joy.
Young women in former times would tie yellow ribbons in their hair. They would wear a ribbon in a pledge of faithfulness to the one they love.

The yellow rose is purely a symbol for friendship and not romantic like other roses.

yellow is a sign of energy health,uplifting, hope, happiness i could just be feeling real bad on a dark grey day somehow on a yellow sunshine day i be lifted up with ,cheerfulness , mind is restored,hope . god bless.

Honestly, I hate when people apply feelings and moods to colors. Colors are inherently neutral, and it is just silly to say "yellow is the color of laughter and sunshine" because it is also the color of gonorrhea and snot.
