Don't you think it's kind of strange that you're hanging out here in the R&S section of Yahoo Answers?
Are you looking to see if anyone can prove God exists?
And if someone does are you then going to believe?

Ego.
It all has to do with ego.
Atheists, are so certain of their faith in the scientific community's
assumptions that peer review, makes it true.

By the consistent thumbs down I always get from the atheists when I call a spade a spade, makes me warm and fuzzy all over.

You know atheists, I am actually so very happy that you are here on this forum, because, for all of us well read Bible enthusiasts, we knew you are supposed to be here, promoting your opposition.
So thank you for fulfilling the prophecy!

First off, atheists do not necessarily lack spirituality, so your whole question is based on a false premise. Now, I may be mistaken, but I thought your imaginary god had a problem with bearing false witness.

To date, I have seen not one shred of evidence that any god, much less yours, exists. Do you have some?

I HAVE seen despicable evil done in the name of imaginary deities, which to me suggests that if there is a god, it either isn't the one they worship, or isn't worth worshiping.

I keep popping up here because you and your brethren are constantly lying about atheists (as an example, look at this very question), and someone needs to point this out. This site is infested with believers who are willfully ignorant on a variety of subjects, and I value the truth enough to want to correct that. Odd that you don't.

I hang out here to keep tabs on the religious folk here. They seem to be a representative sample of the country/world. It's important to monitor the opposition.

I also hope that may just ONE religious person will see reason and science as the good guy, not the bad guy, in this world.

Besides, if the greatest minds of our times can't prove god exists, I seriously doubt anyone on Y!A can.

Same here I saw this on the main page. I don't think anyone can prove God does or doesn't exist. Just because we don't understand how the the universe was made doesn't give you and excuse to make one up. I don't believe that any other human can tell me that god does or doesn't because I can't. So, how could someone else?

Just killing time and if in the process I rescue a few sheep to the slaughter great i've done good . why are some so opposed to the different view are theists always so prejudiced that they can't help but refuse alternative avenues of thought before deciding what really is true .
Many of the people you are addressing are not the novices of thought you think... they have often been down both sides of the street and have a more balanced opinion then you are willing to even look at .
peace

sure! if there's proof God exists, I'll believe in him.

there's not. I don't. that's the point.

why hang out here? because I believe our society is unduly and negatively influenced by a mistaken majority of people who still believe in the false idea that God exists, and has an active interest in human affairs.

that's not just a minor, harmless superstition (like reading your horoscope in the paper) . it's a pervasive and influential error that affects public policy every day. and it's based on nothing! it's entirely arbitrary, and (frankly) unbelievable! there's nothing like religion that has so much power - and so little basis - in our everyday lives.

the idea of God has zero evidence, and zero value in a forward-looking, 21st century society. it's a fallacy that needs to be recognized as such - and ultimately stamped out.

I'm just doing my bit to help.

Atheist ability loss of theory in a God, so your assertion "while you're atheist you do not have self belief in faith and spirtuality " is crammed with lack of know-how. And the term atheist became made by ability of christians to label people who have not got self belief of their sky-daddy.

First off pearl, we "atheists" don't necessarily have to hang out anywhere on YA to see your question...... Your question is listed on the homepage as a "new" question. Second, nobody will ever be able to prove any god, so don't worry about us. Worry about the disappointment you are going to be experiencing when you die. Besides, you were already "dead" before you were born, right ?? Did you see a "god" then ?? Didn't think so. Oh BTW, no "heaven" for girls who wear sperm necklaces.

Yes, I want to hear good arguments from a theological side, while savoring sweet morsels from the other atheist commentators.

I think I have heard one potentially decent argument about god, but it was still based on faulty logical assumptions. Other than that, it's mostly "I want to believe in x so you should believe or face the consequences," and that sort of thing.

I hang out here to have a conversation with people who think differently than I do. I have never suggested that the Christians pack up thier bags and go find a nice Christian website, have I.

As to proof - Yes, if someone proves god to me I will change my beliefs. I am intelligent enough and flexible enough to accept change. I even welcome it. Sadly, I have not heard ANY proof of god's existence that isn't, frankly, laughable.

Sometimes listening to the naive opinions of religious people can be somewhat entertaining (No Offense). Also because the first minute you display a question we see it in the list of recently posted questions. Also atheists are very scholastic people and enjoy a good debate.
