Of all the Muslim answerers who have posted on my questions, I've never ran across an impolite man yet. I've ran across a couple females who could qualify as poodles, if you get the meaning. So many nice men and women on here, and a couple women making them look as bad as some of the religious bigots claim! Is this common in Islam? I've come to expect it from certain other groups, but never expected such foul attitudes from Muslims. Let me say up front, that this is the exception, not the rule! Most of the members of Islam that I have had the pleasure to hear from have been very well spoken and polite. Your opinions?

Hope: I'd rather you be yourself dispite what the media pushes. I seriously believe that those who have shown such harsh attitudes are trolls, trying to downgrade Islam to match their own prejudices.

funnana: I don't know what your on, but you need to put the pipe down and admit you have a problem. Do you even know what your talking about? Noone else does.

B: I have met many very nice Muslim ladies. My question is in regards to why a couple of the people on here act the way they do, not Muslim women in general. In fact, I stated such in the question. And your take on the Genesis account of the creation of Adam and Eve is right. The whole lack of equality in the creation story is a small part of why I dismiss it. Thank you for your post.

I can't say I've noticed that. I have found almost everyone I speak to to be polite and well mannered, even if I disagree with them.

If that has been your experience, I am surprised.

Are you sure the people concerned were really muslim? They may have been trolls pretending in order to stir up trouble.

God fashions a woman out of one of Adam's ribs. This was necessary since Adam couldn't find a "help meet" in any of the animals that God made for him. 2:20-22

Islam is not ''crumbling''; if it was then why would it be the fastest growing Religion in the America and in Europe ???

Don't get all mad just cuz someone said something nice about Muslims. It's funny how you describe Muslim women as ''bitter and vicious'' and yet you seem more than just Bitchy in that hateful rant. He likes Muslim men because they're nice, and thinks that some Muslim women are not, that's it, Get over it. No need to write a whole Fairy Tale about it.

I have noticed the same with the Jews. Most are very polite, and never try to push their views, but there are 2 women who are so hateful that they seek questions that ask about Islam just to bad mouth Muslims.

If I used that in a question, would I be called anti - Semitic? Because it seems OK for you to stereotype Muslim women.

From a muslim point of veiw I would have to say that people are people.Youve got the good ,the bad and the ugly among muslims as well as the rest of humanity.I personally have never met a terrorist or a suicide wannabe.I hope I never do.All of the muslims I know are just ordinary people.Maybe a little more God conscious.But there are some regular Heathens out there.

I have known a few Muslim men of Middle Eastern descent and all where always the epitome of politeness. A couple I wouldn't want to make angry, but if you didn't mess with them they were great guys.

And I know a ton of Christians and Wiccans and Atheists that are rude s.o.b.'s.

yes there usualy nice. I'm not tryin to be stereo typical or anything. when ever I goto the citgo nea by. A muslim owns the place. There its eather him or his wife working. There always generous and kind to me. I went to school with with a few actualy where freinds of mine. They where always kind to me. now on the other hand to get off topic. christians freinds i know tend to be more rude have no care for you.Muslims are alot better moraly than most christians.

LOL. There is a huge misconception in the West that Muslim women are docile and suppressed. As a Muslim male, my experience has been the opposite. They are tough, and will kick your *** if you get them mad.

Agreed. True Muslims are far more respectful and try to live up to the standards they espouse. The few I've worked with seemed to have hearts of gold. Then you have the phony ones who also exist.

That's how it works. They bow politely, smile and say they like you and that they only want respect of their beliefs... until they're in a strong position.

I'm from Quebec (Canada) and we're beginning to have some major problems: policewomen have been asked to call a male counterpart when dealing with a male muslim; male doctors must call a female doctor when receiving a female muslim patient (even in ER when the girl is bleeding to death). Workplaces have been asked to change coffeebreaks to match prayer-time and give access to a room for prayer... the list goes on.

September 17, veiled women in Quebec will not have to show their faces to vote (vote without visually confirming their identity... hello democraty...) thanks to an ammendment made in semi-secret by the Federal government (thanks to lobby-pressure)

You'll excuse me if I'm no longer fooled by the reverent-happy-go-lucky attitudes of muslims...

Interesting point you have. Yes, I've noticed that the Muslims who do come on here really don't attack and insult the way the Christians and atheists do.
