Since the factory warranty is 100,000 miles on the Ford diesel engines... and non-factory modifications to the engine would VOID such a factory warranty, ...I would suggest that you do not "mod" either!

sorry.

Factualy..neither

But the 2007 is better in the since that the go fast parts are out there more readily, the exhaust can be juiced up a bit more than the 2008 (which has to have almost it's complete exhaust stock or it voids the warranty)

But many of us will warn you that any juicing of the truck that we prove causes engine failure can and will void the warranty (unless turned back factory) and 6.0s go for $15,000 plus about $2000 labor to change currently

The 6.0 has proven to be a problem child and Ford has moved on to the 6.4 dual Turbo...to keep warranty you will have to drive it in its stock form or loose warranty with modifications.....

I would go for the 2008 because it's more advanced and up to date than the 07. Check it out here: http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/superduty/

The 2008 has the dual turbos, and the 6.4 diesel engine. That's the one I would go with.
