Ok, My sister and brother-in -law and their two chinesse pugs are living with us.
I would have it no other way.
I love them here.
They are trying to get on their feet and I am glad to help them
BUT,, The two pugs smell god awful...
They have my house smelling like a shut down kennal.
It is horrible.
She has bathed them. It doesnt help. They are horrible.
I am a clean freak. Well not freak. but, I do enjoy a nice clean and smelling clean home.

Tell your sister to bring them to the vet. This strong of an odor is not normal and probably not healthy. It could be anything from gum disease to impacted anal glands. Seriously, a stinky dog (unless it's been rolling in poop!) is not a healthy dog!

Go to to the pet store and get wipes that you rub on the dogs coats to make them smell baby fresh. She needs to wash their mouths and muzzles and genitals with their shampoo more than she bathes them, like every day, and rinse well. Shampoo your carpets and spray Febreeze on the furniture. Also, set out a bowl of vinegar somewhere in the house, this is the best odor eliminator around. Good luck!

Well shes prob using regular dog bath. you should tell her to use a more cleansing dog bath with a scent. And they have perfume you can put on dogs to make them smell good :)

put baby powder on them. spray the house daily with febrese and the furniture. buy air freshners for the rooms. also try a pet store and see if they can recommend anything different.

you could febreeze your home every day...but that will only mask the odor...you need to have your sister coontact their vet and see what alternatives there are. they may need a different type of shampoo. good luck
