If it just says flour, its going to be all purpose, otherwise they'd specify.

Their recipe is very similar to the one I use from Joy of Cooking. Both take regular all purpose flour. At least for American recipes (and maybe elsewhere throughout the world), if a recipe only says "flour", it means all purpose flour. Rather than me retyping the Joy of Cooking recipe, you should just use the one from foodnetwork. Don't overmix your batter, a few lumps are fine. I try to make my batter in advance and let it rest for about an hour before using. It helps the mix "activate" and my pancakes come out fluffier.

Enjoy your pancakes!

Seems you've already got a pretty good recipe there. Since it says flour, all purpose flour will work fine.

I use this recipe and they are delicious.

1 cup flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk, more if needed to thin out batter
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat a lightly oiled griddle or fry pan. Sift and measure flour; sift again with sugar, salt and baking soda.
Beat egg in medium bowl. Blend in buttermilk. Add dry ingredients, beating until smooth; blend in melted butter.

Add up to 1/4 cup more buttermilk for thinner cakes. Adjust consistency as required to maintain a pourable pancake batter by adding additional flour or buttermilk.

Cook on lightly oiled griddle or fry pan. Turn pancakes when surface bubbles begin to break.

Serve immediately.

Makes 14 to 16 three-inch pancakes.

Just regular flour will do fine, they add stuff to cake flour so it rises differently. All purpose is what it's asking for.

All-purpose flour will do...hence the name.
