If they're banned, then they don't currently have a license. Therefore, you are not covered, since you are breaking the law.

You are not legally allowed to drive on a provisional license unless supervised by someone who has a current license for the class of vehicle you are driving - someone who is serving a driving ban cannot supervise you, as they do not have a current license.
You can be prosecuted for driving without supervision.
Whether your insurance covers you or not doesn't change the illegality of the situation, but chances are you will not be covered.

If the person beside you is banned from driving, he/she isn't a licenced driver! You are driving illegaly with that person beside you, you would receive a ticket, the car could be impounded, if you have an accident you could be denied insurance coverage.
And if you really had to ask the question, I have to ask if you are smart enough to be a safe driver!

No. If you have only a provisional license, you need to have a LICENSED driver sitting next to you.

No - so you would be guilty of two offences and get a driving ban before you get a proper licence!

That person does not hold a valid driving licence therefore you are driving illegally!!!!!

This person should be able to take over the vehicle if you have problems with nerves etc...
