Money is good. They can run out to buy a new bottle of perfume, a new set of clothes, a new shoe, an iPod or an Xbox 360, depending on what they want. You give them an optiuon instead of "Here's a bottle of perfume! Enjoy!" when he needs a new iPod or "Here's a copy of Halo 3 for the Xbox 360!" when he's already got the Collector's Edition.

Save up some cash, and hand it to them a couple days early before Eid so they can get what they want and enjoy it on that day (ie, not wait for all the shops to open after Eid to get it).

Well, I think it depends on for who and what their age range is.

Last year for Eid, I made homemade butter cookies for my parents and in laws. I dipped them in melted chocolate, wrapped it up in a golden tray and put selaphane wrap on it. They loved it and thought it looked so professional. I wanted to make something homemade for them because I knew they would really appreciate it.

For whom? Girls are usually given jewellery or clothes. You can give an older person flowers or a cake. You can give money to children, or sweets. For a man, a wallet or tie would be O K.
