Why are Christians always the target of antagonistic posts? I don't care what you say, I have been watching the questions here for quite a long time, and at least over 90% of anti-rligious questions are aimed at Christians. Why is that? If you think that God is a fairy tale and religion is bad, then why don't you include Jews, Muslims, or Hindus in this question? Well, I know one big reason why: Because Institutions of Higher Learning (what a joke!) have systematically attacked Christianity and indoctrinated their minds-full-of-mush students into believing this garbage. Most of you attackers come out of a post-christian cultural situation in which blaming Christiasnity for everything is acceptable and politically correct.

In fact, bigotry against Christians (and especially Catholic Christians) is one of the last acceptable prejudices in America. Insult a homosexual or a Muslim, and you've commited a hate crime. Insult a Christian and you're a hero at UC Berkeley. These attacks are better proof than anything else I kinow of that Christanity is the true religion. Why else would the world attack it so hard?

Jesus said " If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you.
John 15:18
Try not to be surprised by this. It's nothing new. It is especially bad on here. I was shocked by it when I first came on here. I didn't think such a large amount of people were really this mean and cruel, but I was wrong. I posted a question to CHRISTIANS today about my brothers death and the God haters even took that as an opportunity to say nasty things. You just have to feel sorry for them and go on. What a sad existence to have nothing better to do with your life than go into a religious forum and hound Christians. Pathetic.
I think the rising trend of Christian bashing is due in large part to the ways Christians are portrayed by Hollywood, in Universities and in music etc. Half of the stories in movie and television have a psyco Christian character and a sweet loving homosexual character. So who come up smelling like roses and who comes up being hated? The perceptive syndicated columnist Don Feder who is an Orthodox Jew, wrote,
"White Christians are about the only easy target left... Christian bashing ( in all of it's raw ugliness) is:1)ridiculing conservative Christians as benighted and sheeplike: 2)suggesting there's something sinester about poitical ideas based on scriptural standards or 3) implying that clergy forfeit their Constitutional rights when they don a clerical collar."
Christian hatred seems to be becoming red hot in our nation. Just remember it's not you they hate... It's Christ in you, and also remember that Jesus said "the gates of hell shall not prevail against His church. God bless!!

I do not hate anyone, but I hate some people's behavior. I reject all religions, and that is from knowing, not merely believing or thinking. I have studied and thought much. Holy books are filled with contradictions and ignorance of science and reality. I studied world religions as a Philosophy student in college. I was brought up in a Christiian home. Mom's father was a pastor. I began to see errors in the Bible when I was age 7. You sound paranoid to say some of the things you do. Delusions of grandeur and delusions of persecution are symptoms of paranoia. you should take some classes at colleges and acquire some higher learning. Then, you might well learn that what you are saying now is the real joke.

Because the world hates Christ. Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
As far as the "institutions of higher learning" the things that pass for knowledge I can't understand. Although I am not a Catholic, some of our best friends are. What we have in common with our Catholic friends other than faith in Jesus Christ, is disdain for these government indoctrination systems called schools.
Catholic schools have, for generations, produced academically superior students on less money per student than the public indoctrination systems.
We are homeschoolers, and my children are not brainwashed into evolutionary nonsense. They learned to read using the Bible. My children do NOT come out of a post-christian cultural situation, because they have been raised in a homeschool with church group activities for "socialization".
We are not oddball nutcases:http://www.hslda.org/docs/nche/000000/00000017.asp
Be of good cheer, my friend, our Lord has overcome the world!!

This forum is believed is filled to the brim with evil Christian hating, bigotted people they claim to try to condemn. The unrepentant will one day pay the ultimate price I hate to say. These people will stop at nothing to remove Christ from every facet of life where it is found, this is their true and ultimate goal. And if we were ever eradicated they will turn on themselves and kill each other off, since their evil hearts know no bounds, just like the muslims. Evil isnt supposed to be bounded. Hatred isnt a God like virtue. Since God is love, how can He direct His children to do the exact opposite of what He is? Therefore, those with hatred and lusting hearts are evil.
Everyone believes in something. It is up to the individual to believe on his own. Early Christians were persecuted to the death. It started as a small underground organization that has grown to billions. It is the truth and the only way to God (to Christ).

Well, you have decided to paint everything with the same broad brush stroke. When some of us ask a question we actually ask a question we want to know the answer to. Perhaps you should visit other areas of the country before making sweeping assumptions about the schools and general environments.
I live in the northeast, I'm an atheist and the majority of christians here - over 60% are catholic and you don't see anything like you are describing. In fact, people up here, even the religious ones, are liberal and we all get along for the most part - what a novel concept... Perhaps people feel persecuted because they look for things to justify their own feelings of insecurity.
And yes, I do know what I'm talking about - half my family is catholic, half is protestant and I'm married to an anglican.

I have been answering atheist attacks left and right, so I really don't think the Christian attacks are 90%. I think you should realize that most of the rude attacks are from very young people, so should be ignored. Atheists also do not feel obligated to respect religions that they do not believe in and in a forum such as this one...non-chatting...it's how they respond to things that are offensive to them since they are not able to have a give and take discussion.

I do include those other religious faithful like jews, muslims and hindus. It's mostly christians that post here and in my country, America, the vast majority are christians so much of my answering here is directed to those that ask the most questions. But I don't think christians are any more or less delusional than any faithful of any religion. Delusion is delusion.

Well you guys just happen to be the ones here. I mean, I'd make fun of the guys that follow Odin too, if I could find one.
Well combine that with the fact that the Christians seem to be the most annoying ones about their faith. That makes you want to target them a little more.
Added: usually the Catholics are the least annoying Christians. Frankly, I don't usually mess with you guys the same as I do the fundies. You really need to control them a little better. They make you look bad.

I'm not an atheist, but try to see it from their point of view. I'm sure they have been hounded by people who have told them they're going to burn in hell, won't leave them alone when told they're not interested, etc. Also, it could just be trolls trying to stir up trouble. There haven't been too many this evening, but I've seen antagonistic posts from Christians as well. Just do your best to ignore it.

I basically just know about the Christian religion.
I do know it's nothing like the religion Jesus had. Sometimes I ask questions about the Bible god, to see what church folks will say.
