tattoos are not a fad, their expression. Take time to think about it. I know the Bible states not to mark yourself but it also states that if you steal something with your right hand you are to cut that hand off. Would you do that?? Or if you look at a woman in an adulterous way you are to gouge your eye out. Would you do that?? I'm not knocking the Bible because I do read it. Im simply stating that you dont have to go to extremes because you made a mistake. Dont make it to start with. Tattoos are meant to mean something in ones life. Dont do it to fit in. Take time to think about it.

Great ideas. I like the third one because it encompasses all the others. Tattoos are not trashy on girls and tattoos don't make you trashy. Only you can do that by your behavior. Besides 36% of all women under 30 years of age are now tattooed. This sounds like your first tattoo so some side notes: One the ribs are not appropriate for a first tattoo, because there is a serious learning curve in dealing with the pain and the ribs are the most pain spot on the body because of the bones. two match the size of the tattoo to the location on the body. This means small tattoo go on smaller locations and big tattoos on bigger locations. So your tattoo if you want it small would look good on an inner arm. Just make sure to size the tattoo to the locations on the body or they wont look right.

go to tattoojohnny.com for some ides. As was said here though, make sure to put a lot of thought into it. On tattojohnny, they also have some articles you need to read about picking out the right shop and artist. Go to tlc.com and click on the LA Ink site. Kat Von D and her artists have some good advice there too. The most important thing, though is to be sure that the tattoo has some real significance for you. Also, be prepared to pay a lot of money if you want a really good tattoo. Think about where you want it at. If you get it on your upper arm or your leg, it will hurt a lot less than if you get it on your back or ankle. A good tattoo artist will go over those things with you and help you feel more comfortable. Also, don't feel ashamed if you have to ask for a break. A good artist will understand and sometimes they're glad to have a bit of a break too! Have them try the needles on you with no ink first, so that you have an idea of the pain. Also, it can be a good idea to have someone there with you for moral support or to keep you distracted. Good luck!

If you have to ask random people on the net for a tattoo suggestion, you're not ready for a tat. Don't worry though, you have 7 months to think about it. Keep your eyes open everywhere for art you like so you can maybe build on some ideas. Contrary to what some people may say, not every tattoo has to have some big elaborate beautiful meaning to it, although that is nice and those kinda tats may end up being some of your favorites. You'll think of some things that just look flat out cool, but only get it tattooed if you know you're gonna think its cool for a loooooong time. If you can't think of anything by your 18th, don't rush and pick something in the last week before your big day. You'll probably regret it.

I suggest you figure it out for yourself. It's your body, so you should decide what goes on it forever. You have 7 months, don't worry about it. Look around, think about what means the world to you, things from your past, anything that is important to you. Don't rush it, if come your 18th birthday you still aren't sure wait. The only stupid tattoos are ones done is a rush without any thought. And those you are far more likely to regret, you will find the design that is perfect for you. Artists will draw up ideas for you so if you really can't find anything go in with concepts and knowing what you want it to look like and the artist can pull it together. Good luck.

Make sure you know what u want before you get that tattoo it will be on you forever... I suggest not to anything that is trendy right now because trends come and go or anything that is just off a piece of flash art on the wall in the tattoo shop. Get something that has meaning to you and make it original. Sit down and really think about it before you get it. My first one was just something that has no meaning that I got when I was 18 because I wanted one right away, now I wish I didn't have it, but I have 5 more and they all have some personal meaning to me and I will like those ones forever...

its depends..i kow ppl who have had syples done. or fantasy stuff bc there into it. I have 3 SMALL crosses on my wrist, an three roses that range from just ebing the rose with a few leaves, its a little over three inches. Another one is two inches, with the flower, and the stem and its got little thorns too. then there is the one on my leg (its hurt like a sob in some spots, and barely felt it on others) its like seven inches, as close to a ful sized long-stem rose as i could handle.....when i turn 18 i plan on getting wings that start at the bottom of my bra strap and "fold" onto the top/topsides of my shoulders and come to an end on my breasts. I also am planing on have a custom one done on my hip bone. My friends gona get some stars on both hips. it depends...if u want to, u can go to tattoo shops and look around. If u cant find something you like, u candraw it urself, if u know what u want. or you can have a tattoo artist draw somethings on ur mind up. Remeber once u r inked, its permanent. hope i helped you. if you want more ideas, email me, and i'll c if i can come up with some more..

First of all don't put it anywhere that will show when you get married! I think it is so tacky when a girl gets married and has a tattoo hanging out w/ a beautiful dress. I got mine on the inside of my ankle and i totally love it because i can hide it when I need to but I can also look at it! I felt like I did it for myself to enjoy and to get it on my back or something made no sense because how can you enjoy it when you can't really see it? A girl I know got a really cool one and I always wished I had thought of it, it was a vine, and on it were different flowers. One for everyone in her family. they were the flowers that represented the months that they were born in! How symbolic and beautiful! A tattoo needs meaning, and no names! It's a jinx!

i am 20 years old i just started getting tattooed at the beginning of this year, i now have 6 tattoos 2 i regret getting because i plan on covering my body and they will be very hard to cover up with another one. i suggest that you get something original something that nobody has not just a random tattoo off a piece of flash at a tattoo shop. and you should also think about where you should put it, i was stupid i have 1 on my wrist and another 1 on my arm. it is very hard for me to get a job because of them. so i hope you take that into consideration. just remember you have to live with it and look at it for the rest of your life.

most of the people think getting a tattoo done hurts alot. But it doesnt give a that much bad pain. Before you do a tattoo you decide what kind of tattoo you want. If your scared, first you do a semi-permanent tattoo. that will fade away after sometimes. If you feel that a tatto is better looking for you, then get a permanent tattoo done. there are temporary tattoos too. they are kind of stickers, but they look like fake ones. you have a that kind of tattoo and if you feel like they are nice looking for you, then get a permanent tattoo done. You'd better think twice before you do it, otherwise you will have to regret after doing it. after you do a permanent tattoo, you can remove it, but the way i have heard that it hurts alot when tattoo removes. sometimes it may cost alot. so think twice before you do.
