IRON! Red meat and legumes (beans) are the best sources from the food groups. But if you'r not getting enough iron from your food intake, consider iron supplements (vitamins, minerals) and ask your doctor (who I assume did the blood test that told you you were anemic) and a pharmacist which supplements would be best for your age, height, weight, and level of anemia.

Wonder why you ask this question. Of course the mineral you need is iron. Take Iron pills. As far as in what foods iron is in, I'm not sure. At least I got half the answer right~

You lack iron when you're anemic.
Good sources of iron: meat, fish. Unfortunately, a lot of anemic people are vegitarian (myself included). Spinach has a lot of iron, so does celery.

Iron rich foods. Most of the Iron rich foods I've heard of are gross things *such as liver and kidneys from wierd animals*
But there are good iron foods. :) Pretzels has a small amount of iron in them. Also apricots, and nuts.
Here is a website of iron rich foods.

B12 is the usual lack, but some people have iron deficiencies. Both can be supplemented, but real anemia should be Dr. supervised. You could need monthly injections.

I believe a lack of iron is the problem. Can't think of the foods off hand.
