Our not-for-profit got a self-proclaimed Christian a job. The agency he worked for was going to pay him directly but was late in paying. We advanced $3K with assurances Christian would pay it back. He was paid six months ago, no payment to us. He doesn't return my calls.
Will you please join me in asking Jesus to touch his heart and bank account and begin to pay at least $50.00 per month. Our budget is tight and our staff has to defer our salaries each month due to cash flow problems of our own.
Will you please pray that he does as Jesus would do and that he treat others as he has been treated; with kindness, empathy, honesty, fairness and concern?

This is not a joke, this is not to slander, this is real, it happened and I can give very clear details about getting the guy a job with a government agency that had delays in paying the guy. We designed a treatment plan that included our n-f-p supervising an in-home child care service but the govt agency wanted to cut costs. We agreed not to charge, we trained the guy, they agreed to pay him dirctly, he needed money, we advanced it, he agreed to pay, he didn't. Simple as that.
Will you Christians now pray that he will do the right thing?
I will let you know how it works.

i'm sorry someone once again is doing such an outstanding job of being a positive reference for Jesus.
and rather than preach to you about what you should and should not do, because that's not what you asked. you asked us to pray.
And pray I shall...because I know my King stands on your side, the side of wanting to help to oppressed and down-and-out. I'm going to go before His throne and ask Him to bless your agency in such a way, you will know He too is thanking you for taking care of one of His children.
As for the one who was quick to announce who he was, and then slow to remember his promise, I am going to ask the King to lay His hand on that man's heart. Our King is also the perfect judge, and I trust His judgement on how to deal with someone who abuses His providence.
I also know this might not mean a hill of beans, but as an ambassador for the King...can you I ask you to accept our bearing of this shame as a step towards having your forgiveness?

Good luck with that. Can you imagine a guy going into a bank and wanting a loan and saying "Hey, I'm a christian so you can save yourself all that loan paperwork because as a christian you can absolutely trust me". Are you kidding, they'd bust a gut laughing.
If this guy is able to consider himself a Christian, and at the same time have absolutely no sense of conscience about welching on a debt of honor, trust me, you could have a hundred people praying up a storm for you, and it isn't going to change his character one single shred.
Sadly, you had better just resign yourself to the fact you've been suckered. Write it off as the cost of a lesson well learned, and I sincerely hope you have learned, because if you do the same thing again, it'll happen again.
There is not, and there never has been a single iota of evidence that a person who calls himself a Christian is any more or less likely to be a cheating, lying, double-crossing scoundrel than anybody else. Rotten behaviour spans the full gamut of human individuals..... from the most vocal practising "Christian" to the person who believes in absolutely nothing at all - not even a-theism LOL. People are people, and they are all unique to themselves. If you allow yourself to be impressed by what they call themselves, and trust them on that basis alone, you are doomed to be "had".

Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy. And Forgive us our debts as we forgive those who owe us.
Give it to God. And let the person know of the payment plan. If this person is a Christian, then ask God to convict this person in his spiritman. And that will work. But the person may be sick or having some other trials in life that is preventing him from having the victory in his life. So? Let him know where you stand. Ask him if he can pay you back & if the $50 is something he can do.
When you loan someone money, that doesn't mean the person will pay you back. You have to realize this when you loan it in the first place.

I am trying to think of how to answer this......I hate that a "Christian" would have done this....but you know the Bible says "by their fruits ye shall know them". Just please don't class all of Christianity in this one bad experience. Did you base your giving to him on the fact that he was a Christian? And if so....is that because you were interested in Christianity yourself? .....depending on how he handled this situation? I am just a little interested in motive here.
I AM going to pray that he will do the right thing.....and besides that, I am going to pray that you will see that God does listen to prayers and that your answer will be DIRECTLY because of your prayer request and the people who have prayed for your situation. When this prayer is answered I pray that it will make a difference in your life and how you feel about Christians and about God.

I would like to, but if we cannot afford it , then we should not loan it. I know how you feel because no one likes to be taken. but forgive the debt or put it in God hands. what does the Bible say about people who borrow and does not repay? So if I agreed with you in prayer then I too would be out of Gods Word or will. So the answer is no. what ever happened to honest people?

Absolutely.
His soul is more important than the $3000.
If he is still dealing dishonestly, then he is self deluded, and he is not walking in the light.
I will agree that God would convict him of his wrong-doing. Continue to confront him according to Matthew 18:15-20

No . What ever intentions the exploits of Christ and the supposed spirit are used for is debatable . One can moralize without proxy just as well and just as well be held accountable for the merists of what they think rather than hide under the skirts of supernatural and superstitious belief .
Kindness , empathy , honesty and fairness are not exclusive to those who profess the recantations of myth and fable .

Prayers directed to anything or anyone other than our heavenly Father are therefore not heard by him, no matter how sincere the worshiper may be. In the Bible, only Jehovah God is called the “Hearer of prayer.”—Psalm 65:2.

ABSOLUTELY!!! As your organization has been a blessing to him and fulfilled the need he had at the time, God WILL bless you in return. Trust me! I have a business that I have dedicated to God from the very beginning and used to bless people above and beyond my call of duty and sometimes I've gotten the shaft from them, too. I've been lied to by people, cheated (intentionally) out of money, used and abused, etc.
This is the world we live in. But we are not OF this world and I have always said: "JESUS PAYS MY BILLS!!!
I have always been told that if you run your business with absolute integrity, be honest and upright, that GOD WILL take care of you. And He always has!
I have always stood on Mark 11:22-26 to send those mountains crashing to the sea. Ask, believe and receive.
I agree wholeheartedly with you that God will convict him so greatly that he cannot sleep at night until he does what he promised. Romans 12:19 says, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, saith the Lord." It's not your battle. The battle belongs to the Lord. Forgive him and shake the dust off. When you've made your effort and done what's right, it's in God's court...it's His game anyway.
Remember, "Jesus said, Have faith in God. For assuredly I say to you, whoever SAYS to this mountain, "Be removed and be cast into the sea" and DOES NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, BUT BELIEVES that those things he SAYS WILL come to pass, HE WILL HAVE WHATEVER HE SAYS. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, BELIEVE THAT YOU RECEIVE THEM AND YOU SHALL HAVE THEM." These are promises in red letters, spoken by Jesus. He is not a man that he should lie, and He's NEVER let ME down!!!
I agree with you for justice for this situation, blessings for your employees, and for Prosperity beyond belief for your organization. Again, Jesus said, "Where two or more agree, as touching anything on earth, IT SHALL BE DONE BY MY FATHER IN HEAVEN."
All He wants us to do is trust Him...with everything. In James chapter 1:2-8 we see that we should "count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience." When we ask God for anything we MUST BELIEVE, "...let him ask in faith, WITH NO DOUBTING, FOR HE WHO DOUBTS IS LIKE A WAVE OF THE SEA DRIVEN AND TOSSED BY THE WIND. LET NOT THAT MAN SUPPOSE THAT HE WILL RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM THE LORD, HE IS A DOUBLE-MINDED MAN, UNSTABLE IN ALL HIS WAYS."
A friend who I met for the first time told me, "You have more faith than anyone I've ever seen!"
My answer to him was: "What else is there? Otherwise, I don't have a snowball's chance in hell."
Please email me with your praise report on this. Just know that EVEN IF you never see the money from this man, that our Loving Father will supply your every need....and remember...
BELIEVE AND RECEIVE, DOUBT AND DO WITHOUT!
God bless you!

No, I won't. I think this is a phony question, designed to slander Christians (and not a very clever one at that).
