I broke a promise with Him. I keep having dreams about what I did to break that promise. ( I promised him i wouldn't do something and I did it). I keep worrying I'm going to hell and I can't take it. I feel like he's angry with me. I already asked for forgiveness but do you think I will go to hell?

Not if you are sincerely sorry. You seem to have a sincere conscience: I think you'll be okay.

First of all im not a priest to be preaching anything but do whats in your heart. If you asked for forgiveness then that should be fine, if it's from the heart. Thats what repenting means.. to ask for forgiveness and really mean your never going to do it again, with your heart and soul. Umm.. unless you killed someone?? I hope not.
Anyways God is not like the government, where you do something wrong and your going to jail or even worse you get the chair! God gives you the chance to repent and to ask for forgiveness. He really doesn't want you to go to hell. He wants everybody to go to heaven.. but it's up to you,to talk to him from your heart.
I've done something pretty bad myself that i thought couldn't be forgiven, but trust me i cried when i prayed to God that i really meant it and would never do it again from the bottom of my heart. And i never thought about it again and left it all with God.I have no fear anymore beacause i meant what i said and i know that God heard and felt how sorry i was.
So have no fear.. just talk to him and ask for forgiveness, and you should be fine. Just remember God is not a joke.He is kind and forgiving, but should not be taking advantage of!

when u asked for forgiveness it was done. no your not going to hell for breaking your promise. but understand that is why we don't make promises because as sinners sometimes we make bad choices and decisions. there's a song by Tony Terry(he used to sing R&B) it goes something like this: If your going to worry then don't pray. If you going to pray then don't worry.

Angry? No, but He would be disappointed. You're given free will to choose between right & wrong of your own accord. But forgiveness for the mistakes is always freely given if you're truely repentant (sorry, with no intent to repeat the sin). If you've been forgiven, but you don't "feel" like you have been, that's just Satan playing on your weakness. Know you're forgiven!

Dreams are a way that Satan uses to get to you, he does the same to me, b/c he knows that is how he can do that. Stop worrying, put it all in God's hands, you have asked for forgiveness and He has already done that. God is love, remember that. Be close to Him and get in the word that always helps me. I also believe that if your faith is weakend by a situation Satan is right there ready to devour, don't let him get to you. Stay strong and be blessed..

I John 1:9 said, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. You try not to do what you promised not to do anymore, He will help you. Believe that He forgives, let go of the guilt and move on knowing He is giving you another chance.

Asking God for forgiveness is the first step towards him being pleased. Once you asked Jesus for forgiveness for that sin and burden it is gone; he has washed it away. Stop worrying about it; he'll take care. I don't think your going to hell; you asked for forgiveness and he understands.

No you will not go to hell, you are repentant in your heart. In the bible it says, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." He loves you anyway. He forgives you. You do your best and you shall enter the gates of Heaven. That is according to the bible, his word.

God is very forgiving. Just pray and repent and you will be fine. Just make sure you learned your lesson and don't do it again. God knows we are human and we stumble. If we was perfect why would we need God then? God Bless

Guilty conscience. You repented. Just don't do it again and really try to keep your promises, whether they are to God or someone else. You'll be okay.
