I didn't have health insurance until now--am going to the doctor next week.

For the last six months, I've had difficulty urinating with frequent urination. I've also been a lot more thirsty than I'm used to being.

I'm always tired, and I'm gaining weight (far too much for how much I eat/exercise). My face looks bloated. Also, my feet have no sensation.

Can you tell me what I should have my doctore look into?

ok well you should follow up will that docter and ask him if there is the possibility that you have diabetes melletus. (diabetes) Sorry but that sounds like what you have. Diabetes is characterized by glucose levels ( blood sugar) which result in defects from insulin secretion, or action, or both. As for the loss of sensation in the feet, well, that is a bad thing. Diabetes affects the liver kidneys and also small blood vessels. If your feet have no sensation then there is the possibility that diabetes melletus ( if u have it) has destroyed
the vessels in your feet. From this there is no blood flow which means your feet have died. If you have " black and blue or green or intensly red or swollen feet" then you know have ganrene. which is an bacterial infection due to dead tissues.
As for the frequent urination, well that is because you blood sugar levals are too high and you body is looking for a way to get rid of the access sugar. Thus urination is the way your body gets rid of this sugar. The more you urinate the more you get dehydrated. Thus, causing you to drink more water.
And the cycle continues. This is why u need to see a docter.

Your doctor might look at diabetes or thyroid problems. You can check webmd.com and see what it says about your symptoms.
