Well "Ifeelgood" the reason most of the people answering the question are not directly affected but know someone who is, is not because they're fabricating. What do you think the general educational level is of a computer owner who participates on legitimate (as opposed to kiddie or lewd) public forums such as this one? They're not your average dishwasher who has had his/her job stolen!!!
Illegals have taken jobs from high school kids, from a majority of those now on the unemployment rolls, and from uneducated Americans.
It's a misnomer that they "reduce the price of our tomatoes" and so need to stay for our economy. The profits that the huge Ag industry reaps from using cheap illegal labor goes into their own pockets, not into reducing the price of tomatoes!!
As far as Americans working in agriculture, I am doubtful that we can fulfill all of those positions, but a guest worker program or very controlled immigration could cover them.

I have not have not had my job taken from me directly but the people hundreds of people who were working for me did.

A food processing plant that I managed was purchased by another company. I had already announced my resignation, I guess I would have lost my job as well. For whatever reason, all of the Americans working there decided simultaneously that those types of jobs was now "work that Americans would not do", they all lost their jobs.

The plant now uses double the amount of employees to produce less than half of the amount of product. The product is not as safe as the product we formally produced. It is not that the illegals working there are bad people they just do not have the education and experience necessary to create safe products.

As for education level; I have an MBA; all managers were required to have at least a Bachelors degree. All hourly employees were required to have a diploma, most had vocational technical training. All had continuing education in food safety.

No, I haven't.
Master's Degree in nursing. Specialty is wound care.
The only thing I'm lacking is a nation free of illegal aliens, where Americans less fortunate than I am wouldn't be victimized with wage depression by illegal aliens and where my tax dollars aren't spent on illegal aliens, but on Americans in need.

In production environments as a whole, workers need to work fast and non-stop. I must say from expirience, Americans are lacking workers for these type of jobs.

It's really the fact that they are illegal and not the education.

In truth we did a good job of wiping out the low to medium skilled manual labor jobs that were the stepping stone into the middle class.

How many people in this forum do you think have had their jobs "taken" by illegal immigrants? LMAO..That is probably why some of them are so "ANTI".

No one is giving jobs away just because. You have to earn the "job".

No. I have a graduate degree. I'm not lacking any education but it would be fun to take some language, programming or carpentry classes.
