Hi Pangel,
I've not looked at the above links yet, but an additional prospect to explore would be to read something together. I'm personally most familiar with Zen materials, but they can be rather daunting even to adults who don't have a fair amount of background in it. Two exceptions, though, are works by Shunryu Suzuki Roshi (founder of San Francisco Zen Center in the sixties), and books by Thich Nhat Hanh. And there is a very sweet biography of Suzuki Roshi called "Crooked Cucumber."
It can also be fun to play with Zen koan stories. Sometimes kids "get them" in surprising and delightful ways.

EDIT: Oh, and maybe the movie "Little Buddha" -- although it's been a while since I've seen it, I think it's suitable for a ten year old. It's rated PG. The plot is a kind of search for a lama who has potentially reincarnated in a Western child. And during that search process, they also tell the story of the Buddha's life (Keanu Reeves plays Siddhartha, the Buddha).

Hi ! I've been practicing Nichiren Buddhism which teaches that everyone has unlimited potential within our lives and teaches how to cultivate it and apply to our daily life and live valuable life. I also have a 10year old son and 6year old daughter. I let my kids participate Kid's Buddhist meeting . They enjoy learning about Buddhism and playing with other kids at this meeting. I recommend this website--
http://www.sgi-usa.org You can find an Online Bookstore at the left column. There are books for children. One of book called " My First Book Of Buddhist Treasures " Is good too. Please check this out .

Have a 10 yr old - Mat. These are his favorite books. You can purchase them from the Source listed below:
1 - "Shibumi and the Kitemaker"
By: Mercer Mayer
A moving tale of love and compassion. Shibumi, daughter of the emperor, is deeply affected by the suffering of those outside the palace walls. With the help of a wise kitemaker she devises a plan to help those in need.
2 - "Buddha Boy"
By: Kathe Koja
The kids at Edward Rucher High School call Jinsen "Buddha Boy" and consider him a freak. Then Justin is paired with him for a class project, and discovers Jinsen's incredible artistic talent and becomes curious about his beliefs. But being friends with Buddha Boy isn't simple.
3 - "A Pebble for Your Pocket"
By: Thich Nhat Hanh
Using wonderful stories and vivid metaphors, Thich Nhat Hanh presents basic teachings of the Buddha in a way that can be easily understood by children. Recounting experiences from his own childhood, he offers practices that children can do by themselves or with others to transform difficult feelings and reconnect to the wonders of nature. An excellent book for parents or other adults to share with young people. *Ages 9 and up.
Metta to all.

I have seen chidren who show interest introduced this way...make a small mala (rosary)..with 21 beads.
the child uses it this way....each bead..may my mum be well and happy, may my dad be well and happy, may my gold fish be well and happy, may the day, may the night.....it is a gentle unobtrusive and loving way to begin..
It can be great fun to go and shop for beads.....Also I heard a Lama say that all children are The White Tara manifestation..
You can find her easily on the net.
Also a small shrine with the special things that she loves can be made..This is the place to keep the mala when not in use...You could also find a center and have a Lama bless it for her as time goes on....
Also there are some really nice children's meditation music cd's, that kind of thing..
Let her unfold as is her want....as I am sure you know..
Metta ( May All That Live Be Well and Happy).
Oh the Dalai Lama says it is the path of Kindness....
Cheers
Great sites...thanks for the links too..

I'm not a buddhist but I respect the religion for it's wisdom.
Your 10 yr old daughter must be really intelligent to show an interest in it.
