The GT-S was a decent performing car back in 1991. It was basically a Celica GT with a Sport Package which included Sport seats rear spoilier larger alloy wheels, and blistered fenders (hence the name GT-S). It actually looked like the top-of-the-line, high performance, Celica All Trac turbo but with the GT drivetrain. The engine is the same 2.2 liter, 16 valve, twin cam, EFI, 135 horsepower, 4 cylinder (5S-FE)engine used in the non turbo MR2 and the 4 cylinder Camry. It's pretty peppy and has practically bullet proof reliability. Unquestionably one of the most reliable engines ever built. It's also low maintenance and parts are pretty cheap too. An all around good car.

It was one of the fastest cars ever built in the early 1990s, I believe they can go zero to sixty in the upper sixes-low sevens.
