i didn't know there was such a wide disparity between religious belief in north america and in europe.

even our most liberal states dont compare to europe

It's well known that the U.S. has the religious fervor equal to that of a 3rd World country.

In the U.S., folks are still willing to support the religious con-artists that exploit them.

Maybe someone will see your post and realize how different they are.

Yes, it certainly is interesting when you consider that Europe had religion long before America existed. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that America's government was founded in religion and copied religious principals while most, if not all, of Europe's current governments were founded as the direct result of war.

(For those who refuse to believe that America was founded in religion, go to Washington, D.C. and count the number of religious symbols etched into our nation's capital!)

Yeah, this is something I have learned all due to yahoo answers r/s. This place can be mind expanding. I had no idea that only America was so religious. I thought the whole world was infected with it like we are here. This bears some serious study as to why and how this is so.

I think that if you'd make the same comparison about conspiracy theories, ufo's and stuff like that, you'd find about the same results.
I'm happy to live in one of the lightest colored parts of Europe.

Yep, the US is backwards thinking. Canada is about the same as the US but we don't have televangelists, nobody makes stupid educational creationist videos and all that bull .
