The best and first place to find financial aid is the FAFSA form for anyone. The second is go to your local workforce or welfare office which can be found in the blue pages of the local telephone book. Finally, search for scholarships. I have included some free resources below which should help. Good luck!

Lots of states are offering programs to assist single or less than wealthy parents with school. The FAFSA site, will help you apply for a Pell Grant and your local 2 year college will help you get the documentation you need. Search online for a college near you with tuitions assistance programs or assistance buying books.
What state are you in?

Definitely fill out a FAFSA (free application for federal student aid) at fafsa.ed.gov, and visit the financial aid dept. of the college you're thinking of attending. Assuming you're not making big money - as a single mom you should be able to get loads of financial aid.

Fill out a FASFA form, there are grants available to those who qualify. You may also consider applying for scholarships or student loans, at least they are low interest and don't have to be paid back until you have completed the degree and have a job.

fasfa.ed.gov(im pretty sure that's the web page) but it's def fasfa. Your state should also have grants you can apply for. Call your school financial aide department and ask them, they can give you the applications.
