Ruth and Boaz were Jesus' ancestors. Two New Testament books - Matthew and Mark mention Jesus' ancestry. They list his genealogy. Boaz was father to a man named Obed. Obed was the father of King David - not Jesus. This was a very long time, some hundreds of years before Jesus was born.
The old testament writes about all the kings of Israel and some of it is exciting war stories. It's actually interesting. Check it out some time. It can be really interesting if you get a modern, ordinary language Bible to read. The King James Version is way hard to read.

I believe there was around 25 generations after that before you get to Jesus.
