Like I will talk to anyone who needs someone to talk to or let someone use my cell phone. My mom says I should not trust peole so easy she thinks am going to b raped or hurt really bad, Cuz I hate being mean. I told her that is not going to happen she just keeps saying that she wants me to b mean sometimes cuz she said I might have to be mean to be safe what goes she mean?

it's okay to be nice, as long as you are smart enough to know right from wrong and how to handle the situation if it is wrong. i'm sure she wants you to wise up and realize that not everyone is good and you might not know the difference. be alert to what goes on around you and you can be nice to people, but realize when people are taking of advantage of you and never let them have that power. know the difference between good and evil in people and how to handle them and yourself.

She means, eventually you will bump into someone who will take advantage of your niceness. I've been there, done that. Try to take what she says in stride, she's protective, and that's how mothers are.
Most of it's common sense. Don't offer random unknowns rides.....if someone wants to use your cell and you don't know them, tell em where the payphone is. You don't always have to say no to get the point across.
The best advice I ever recived was from my Aunt. She said, if you're having a hard time deciding on something, take the very worst case scenario and decide if you would be okay with the results. If not, don't do it.

That just means your mom cares for you.
If someone ever does come after you just remember, the three weakest spots on any person are the throught the nose and right under the ribs, If you hit any of these places they will be in serious pain and usaully give you time to leave(quickly)

your mom is just being a mom caring for her daughter and worrying about her, I think that its great knowing that there is still nice people out there in this world. Your mom loves you so shes going to worry. Its better to be nice because sometimes if your not then things can happen to so either way you look at the situation.
