Ha! So if I cannot prove God doesn't exist, that means that we then have conclusive evidence that He exists?
Irrespective of the defects in that argument, the fact that you answered my question with that question ("Can you prove He doesn't?") sort of shows up the fact that you cannot provide any proof for God's existence. "I want the proof!"

Please browse the website of this Christian astrophysicist (Hugh Ross), who sets forth many arguments supporting the existence of God:

Teleological arguments for the existence of god fail. Basically to infer from relationships or conclusions drawn from the parts that this applies to the whole is fallacious. This relegates the ID 'proofs' to the status of analogies.
On the subject of 'disproving a negative' in math or logic you can- the process is more commonly known as 'reductio ad absurdum'. It is commonly used for example in showing there does not exist any highest prime, or that there exist propositions in any sufficiently complex formal logic system that are neither provable or disprovable.
On the other hand to disprove the existence of any chimera, like a flying dragon or a unicorn would require an exhaustive and infinitely long search and as such is not amenable to any 'proof' by any kind of reasoning inductive or deductive.

Manneke I don't believe I can prove God's existence in a manner you would find acceptable but for me the proof is in all off the beautiful things I see on this earth- the sky, flowers, trees, the animals, people, cool breeze or the shade created by clouds on a hot day, children & their innocence, the peace that emanates from a person dying from a terminal illness, the rising & setting of the sun and moon daily & most important that we're all still here in spite of our destructive behavior, w/ out god human beings would have destroyed all life around us & would be extinct as well.
I believe it's god spirit outside us & within us which keeps us from completely destroying ourselves & everything around us.

To prove the existence of God is not the question, but to prove the non existence of God. Many in the past have tried - often finding themselves believing in God.

Read Thomas Acquinas. There isn't time or space to repeat his arguments for the existence of God here, and besides, if you want to know you can do some of the work for yourself.
Ask God to prove Himself.

1. you must decide what is your criterea fo evidence
2. if you accept first hand accounts then ,yes it can be proven.
It has been 'proven' that cultures that use oral history keep truer versions of history that those that use a written history.
Amad was the first to know God and he left his oral history for 700 years to his children and all of their kids, etc...
That history was handed to noah who kept it alive.
Jesus proved, through works, resurrection and assention, and his fulfillment of prophecy that he was Very man and Very God.
The recorded Miracles of the apostles, adn their written testamony proves God exists.

If you want modern proof, like digital camera proof, I don't think I can offer you any proof at all.
Remember that the antiquity of testimony is not a factor in the tesimony's validity

No. That's the point. To say, "I believe in God!" takes a leap of faith.

On the other hand, to live consistently saying, "I will not believe anything unless it is proven," is to live a sad and unadventurous life. How do you know that you can do anything until you have tried? What sort of life is it that dare not attempt anything new? Or that will not try to stretch, physically and intellectually, beyond where we are now?

And how can you prove, absolutely, that someone loves you for your own sake?

The greatest lives ever lived have been those inspired by a faith or a vision. If Martin Luther King, Gandhi or Mother Teresa (for example) had demanded proof before they acted, they would never have achieved anything.

I can't prove it to you, but this is how he's been proved to me. I've had angels I could see play with me as a very young child. They could not protect me, but they could help heal me. As a child, I was abused, molested, and had no one to turn to. I think I would have died if not for the very young appearing angels who came and played with me every time I was locked in a room alone. They would let me ride them horsey back while they flew. I loved them so very very much. The love they gave to me was ever so much more than I could give to them. I thought they were children just like me, except with wings. When I ran away from home at the age of 15. A man who seemed nice said I could stay with him and his girlfriend. I went, he raped me so badly the doctor said I would never have kids. He would choke me until I passed out and then let me come to repeatedly. I kept hearing whispering in my ear, “Stay calm, stay calm, you need to be able to think.” After, he asked me how I wanted to die. At that moment it felt like a hand reached into the top of my head and gently sat me on the side-lines. I watched them talk for a long time. Next thing I knew I was back in my body. I didn't really know what had passed between him and whoever took control of my body, but we were on our knees, and he was crying. He took me to his friends house with instructions to keep me for two weeks. It's been 30 years or so ago.
Blessed Be

I thought about this, and came to see that proof came about how people engage with each other. If it is with loving kindness, the God exists. Accompanying that is wisdom, realising the nature of reality. It can be proved, but not measured.

To all those losers who can't prove the existence of "god", they all reply with "you prove he doesn't existence".
What a cop out. Just admit you can't instead of passing on the responsibility to non-believers.
You can't prove the existence of nothing - its illogical, but then religion hardly deals with logic or reasoning

Give birth to a girl, watch her grow into a beautiful woman and then witness the birth of her son. If that doesn't work, try to create a living breathing creature that keeps itself alive through the knowledge you instilled into it and then dies and it's spirit leaves to serve another purpose that lasts for eternity. I sure cant make one.
