How can you convince somebody that God isn't real?

My friend told me that she convinced somebody's mother that God wasn't real and she felt bad afterwards because she felt like she had taken something away from her.

What reasons do you think she gave her, and what kind of argument do you bet she put up?

Is it all based on logic or other things too? What reasons could you give a person like that to change what they believe in such an effective way like this? What proof is there, if any?

I am not asking why YOU think God IS real. I just want to know exactly what I asked.

Thank you ahead of time, if you answer! ^_^

It shows how week your friends friends Mom's faith is. If some person can convince you out of a belief system in one swing there isn't that much to take away. Also, are you sure the Mom just agreed with her to shut her up. People like that can be really annoying. (If you haven't notice)

I wouldn't say that I believe in God in one particular form or sense or being.
I do believe in God, though.
I'll tell you why: there are so many terrible, terrible things in the world that make me want to cry and hole up and not believe.
But there are moments that make my heart fill up and I know that there must be someone watching over us. I know when i see a small act of kindness, a smile, the sun, or hear a beautiful song. When I'm with my family and friends, or when I see two strangers of two different religions/cultures/backgrounds embrace each other for people, not for being white, or black, or Jewish, or Hindu, or anything else, but just as someone they can smile at and understand.
It sounds cheesy, but that's all I can say. Look out for life's little miracles, and you might see what I see.

if a true christian is told that there is no God, then there is absolutely nothing that she could have said to sway her away from her belief in God....if she did then that person was not a faithful christian. furtermore, your friend needs to read in the bible about the unforgivable sin which is blaspemy, and that is exactly what she has done.

I would not want to.

I spend much of my time trying to convince others that God is real.

Sorry to tell you - no one can prove God is not real. One day, you too will know this - I pray that it is while you are still on the earth.

There is insufficient empirical evidence to support the hypothesis of a god or gods.
