If you have just left it opened for a few days your fine.. if it's been a really long time, it will have absorbed the odors from the rest of the food in the refrigerator and taste bad... I'm not sure how long it takes to "go bad" enough to make anyone sick though.. hope this helps.. .cheers!

Generally, after you open a bottle of wine, it's advisable to put it in the fridge, and to seal it back properly. If it's just for a few days the cork or cap will do, but if longer, you might consider buying one of those pumps that will vacuum seal the bottle back for you so that the wine will not continue to oxidize. Oxidization will cause the wine to spoil. A high temperature will also speed up this process, hence the keeping in the fridge. As a general rule, you should smell the wine and have a small sip to determine yourself if the wine is spoilt, as wines spoil at different rates, depending on how they were aged, bottled, the temperature at which its kept, etc. The wine should not smell or taste sour or "vinegar-ish". The colour of the wine should not differ much or at all from the original colour when it's opened (tilt your glass and hold it against the light to see) ______________________________________... Hi I just read the update. Although you don't have a fridge, it is okay as long as you keep the wine in a cool place (i.e. not direct under the hot sun). I don't know how long it will last, since I am not sure what the weather is like where you are, but you can still test the wine according to the "smell-colour-taste" test I mentioned in the previous paragraph. Anyway if it's so many of you, I'm sure you can finish the wine, a bottle has only - what? - 6 glasses of wine in it?

It depends on the type of wine and the alcohol content. Generally, you can drink wine a few days after opening the bottle without having a major change in the quality. Red wines do not taste very good if you let them sit for very long. There's a big difference between letting a wine breathe and letting it sit on the shelf. You can buy a vaccuum pump with rubber stoppers at any good wine or liquor store that will allow you to let your open bottles of wine last for a couple of weeks. You can also refrigerate open bottles of wine and let them come to room temperature before pouring. Hope this helps.

one time i made "sex on the beach" and left it in the fridge for a few weeks. so i drank it later and got very drunk after 2 drinks and then was very sick the whole next day. once the drink is fermented, then you will get sick, and let me tell you, it is NOT fun.

You may want to drink it within a couple of days but you won't get sick unless you leave it in there for an ungodly amount of time.

It'll depend on where you live;-{ for temperature & climate.
If it's warm & moist, a day at most, before mould forms.
It'll taste bad before it makes anyone really sick.

I don't even know if it goes bad because of the alcohol content...unless something got in it.

A few days.
It will turn to vinegar so you can't drink much of it.
