Hi !!!
Here you go...

1. Cut a fresh lemon into wedges. After you are finished handling the fish, squeeze the lemon onto your hands, rub your hands together, and rinse with water.

2. Squeeze liquid hand-sanitizer onto your hands. Rub your hands together till dry.
----OR...
3. Rub your hands with toothpaste, then rub together, and rinse under water.

Getting the smell off hands, etc is best done with any lemon scented soap or a mild dose of lemon detergent. Wash your hands one a time, with the hand stretched open and then tightly closed in a fist. This will get rid of fishy stuff in the folds and creases of skin. Liberal use of a nail-brush will get rid of smelly stuff under finger nails which can linger for a while.

For a really deep clean, rub hands with salt before or after using detergent.

Just for convenience sake I use those anti-bacterial gel sanitizers and they work pretty well, especially if it has a added scent. When I go home however I go straight for the Orange Goop hand scrub thats mostly what mechanics use, but the grittiness of the goop really get my hand clean then I use plain soap and rinse off, you can hardly smell anything fishy, been doing it for years.

I live on the Gulf Coast of Tx. Buy shrimp and fish at the coast from people that do this for a living. I learned from them that to get shrimp goo and fish smell off your hands to use rock alum. Simple put a small amount into your hands and wash. All the stickiness and smell washes away. You can get this at any drugstore. If you can't find rock alum, you can get powdered alum used for canning. It works the same. Lemon does not work!!
