Yes, I think so. They have no idea what it is to be lower middle class or the working poor, so they cannot relate. They look at those jobs and think "No one would want to do that" the same way Marie Antoinette thought "If they have no bread, then let them eat cake." She had no idea that poor people didn't have cake... just like rich Americans have no idea poor Americans need and want these jobs. Maybe they think all American citizens are born rich?

The upper crust demonstrates pure apathy toward ALL who are beneath them. They are so far removed from the illegal situation, they don't care who is or isn't.
Paris Hilton is a good example of someone who came from wealth and until she got that stint on tv, she had no idea there were shoes other than Jimmy Choo. I still remember her asking what WalMart was.
When Bush talks about there being plenty of jobs, he means Jobs which are strictly part-time and pay zero benefits BECAUSE it's part-time work! The boom in the job market does not make the distinction between full and part-time. He's so out of touch, Mars is closer!

I can't really say they have the same meaning but everyone has an opinion on immigration laws...Like we who cast the first stone syndrome....Lets ask American Indians what they think of illegal immigration and invasions....I think that the southern states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and of course, Texas used to belong to many of our "illegal" aliens but they don't complain much about that because they are here to work to support families at home that are losing livelyhoods to international trade agreements like NAFTA, GAFTA and more...Cash crops are the way of many countries now along with fast changing government controls over natural resources so I think many hard working illegal immigrants are the victims of these markets... Refugees and immigrants are the backbone of American history and working class...So maybe they do jobs we wont do but I think the gov has found another issue to distract Americans from the real power play of the war in Iraq that is costing every American a lifetime of taxes and suffering. Its all for oil...

Nope.
We DO do those jobs, and would.
If we get rid of the socialist programs in our society, stop giving hand-outs to keep people from working, they'll do those jobs.
And when they decide they don't want to do those jobs they'll invent machines to do it for them.
Has nothing to do with the class struggle socialists are always trying to prove in a society that is the most economically mobile in history (poor get rich, rich get poor, some stay the same).
Has everything to do with socialism putting part of our workforce on couches and then insisting we let illegal immigrants do the work.
No more.

From personal experience, and believe me when I say that I am old enough to have a lot of it, I've never seen a job that Americans won't do if they are paid a decent wage.

I'd call it jobs with low pay that Americans can't afford to live on. The employers are getting away with paying low wages with little or no benefits. It exploits the workers and lowers wages for low skilled Americans

No, there are jobs available in California fields today, due to ICE raids, Why are Americans not flocking there to do those jobs. They rather eat cake than do the jobs they won't do, if the cake is free.

Probably, but then remember it was these same individuals would made the "Americans" think they are better off not working and living off welfare than taking a job that is beneath them.

You need the complete quote to make the comparison. "The illegal immigrants do jobs that Americans won't do for five bucks an hour".
