I think the Christians deemed it a sin, because the psychics were exposing their lies. I saw the reference to Deut. 18:10 but what about Elijah, Moses, even Jesus....ALL performed 'miracles' by magic.

Elijah raised someone from the dead....Moses turned his staff into a serpent, Jesus turned wine into to water.

You can't have it both ways saying its okay in these instances, because these men were God's chosen prophets.

Either it exists or it doesn't....my belief is it does and it isnt meant to be used for WICKEDNESS. The abomination is charging people money to 'plug into' the SPIRIT.

God's wisdom is FREE and for them to charge money is just WRONG!

Bilal the question isn't approximately how lots "reward " you get in Jannah, the question is despite if arguing academically that God ought to no longer exist is in fact sinful, this has no longer something to do with a private perception. What you spoke back means that giving an purpose answer does not attain a splendid mark, exciting how tunnel ingenious and prescient can purely ever make one see their own point of view, so in that occasion it does not be seen shirk or sinful given which you're objectifying the argument in case.

It is a sin because it is demonic, the work of the Devil. God has nothing to do with that, and if you are a child of God you have better leave it along before Satan gets a stronghold on your life.

I don't consider visiting a psychic to be a sin. Just a very bad use of your money.

I don't think visiting a fortune teller/psychic is a sin.

I just think it's an easy way for people to rip other people off, by claiming to have special powers and feeding their customers very generic hogwash.

But if you see it as entertainment value only and so does the service (such as stage magic/ hypnotism), I would consider it fun.

Unfortunately some of the more "Froth at the mouth" Fundamentalists believe such activities - including medication & Self defence - open one's self to the Devil.

Psychic's are really real they just tell you the stuff you already know. They do cold readings, and also ho readings you can look it up. And also in the Bible it says that no one can see into the future.......but i didnt know it was considered a sin to go see one.

Depends who you ask. Psychics in general have a terrible track record so I wouldn't make any important decisions based on what they say.

There are examples of prophets in the New Testament who foretold events. We would call them psychics.

So, where did you get the idea visiting with one was a sin?
